Re:Newbie Needing Advice!
Losing weight is straightforward: eat less and exercise more. All the diet fads are just ways to help you to do that. One pound is 3500 calories. Burn 500 more each day and that's one pound a week--an ideal rate of loss.
Re:Newbie Needing Advice!
Hey for quick weight loss try eating nothing but HOME MADE vegetable or cabbage soup for a couple of weeks, thats what i usually do when im needing to lose weight.
The soup has to be home made though, none of that tinned shit!
Just grab a big pan throw in loads of chopped veg some lentils(but you will have to pre soak the lentils over night if your gonna use them) some tomato puree, herbs, spices just something to make it taste good!
A large pan should last you a couple of days so your not constantly making soup!
Warning it will make you shit a lot but in a lot of ways thats good!
Fucking hell i feel like delia smith giving out recipes!!!!
Re:Newbie Needing Advice!
I wouldn't bother losing weight. Some girls that are a bit on the curvy side like myself, make some big bucks. Besides you will loose weight when you start dancing almost immediatly. You will be VERY sore when you first start out especially if you aren't used to wearing high heels for a long peroid of time or aren't very active. There are women in this industry of all shapes, sizes, and colors! :D Each man like's something different, always keep that in mind! Good luck!
Re: Newbie Needing Advice!
I see you want to loose 15 pounds before you start. If I were you, I would just start right now - you'll loose 15 pounds naturally by the end of the 1st month or so of dancing (if you dance 3 or 4 times a week and really work it). I am about 150 pounds and 4'11. They guys call me "thick." Even though I hate hearing that word, I still make as much if not more than most girls every single night! It helps that I have a pretty face, but for a bigger girl I think I carry it well and to your surprise . . . not all guys like those toothpicks. Every guy has his "type" but as long as you are confident, it doesn't matter what you look like. My friend sensual makes a minimum of 400 a night and she's a "thick girl." If you are 15 pounds over weight DONT WORRY. You'll lose it dancing. I lose about 5-10 pounds a month by dancing - its great! Don't keep yourself from making great money and having a good time. I love my job!
Re: Newbie Needing Advice!
about your boyfriend: i was in the same sitch not too long ago with my ex: dancing was something i had always wanted to try but my boyfriend at the time was totally against it. therefore i missed out on a few chances to dance with my best friend and totally have a blast. i also wanted to try my luck at hooters, but again, my ex wouldn't have it. i felt very unattractive around him and inhibited, and just plain smothered. not to say this is anything like your boyfriend, he could be totally cool! i'm just saying that if a guy doesn't respect your thoughts or dreams or desires, he could be doing more damage than just "not approving." i totally understand where he's coming from, but at the same time, it's your right to do what you want in your life, and if you don't do it when you're with him, you'll do it anyway without him(if it's really what you want to do), he's just postponing the inevitable, and may be causing you to doubt yourself if your not "allowed" to prove to yourself you can acheive your ambitions. after i broke up with asshat, i met another guy who was totally cool with who i was and what i wanted, and while he didn't LIKE the idea of another guy getting attention from his lovey bug, he made it clear that he respected me and my ambitions and would not stand in the way of anyhting i wanted to do. i worked at hooters! i danced! i proved to myself i could do it! and well! so do what YOU want to do, and do it WHEN you want to do it, otherwise, you're just limiting yourself and wasting your own time worrying about what guy- of- the- moment thinks about you. not trying to be a jerk, just speaking from experience. i missed out on two years of my life because of a jealous boyfriend who didn't like me having friends or doing anything outside his jurisdiction. never again. :no_way: :twocents:
