Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
Have you EVER gone to a strip club with the INTENTION of meeting a dancer to make a "real relationship/friendship" with a dancer?
After reading a bunch of "fantasy" threads and opinions of dancers on customers, I felt like asking this question. How many guys actually go to strip clubs trying to pick up dancers? I'm sure some guys do, but dancers seem to think all customers are like that. I think among regular strip club customers, there are very few.
I think an accompanying question on the pink site could be: Have you EVER gone to work at a strip club with the INTENTION of trying to make someone think that you were having a "real relationship/friendship" with a customer?
What am I saying? I think this "fantasy" stuff is coming mostly from the dancer's side. And then they complain about customers that don't realize it's a job?
How's that for button pushing?
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
Hmmmm... never to pick up a dancer. I do like to have a regular girl. In the course of a normal business relationship, I would hope that the SS would stop and there would be some real friendship. And I don't mean outside the club necessarily. If everything that happened inside was fake, it would be obvious and time to do business with someone else.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
It was never the INTENTION, but it happens. The intention is usually to go in, relax, and ignore the outside world for awhile.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
NO. However it happened once. I've always been curious on why dancers dance, and what their story is.
Generally after that I don't care, and let's face it most dancers don't want to open up because they can get
hurt that way, or it just leads to trouble.
However, ATF did open up to me. In the course of a year
about 85% of what she told me checked out. One of the problems with my background is I seldom believe what people tell me, and then check out what they say.
Obviously since checking peoples stories out takes alot of time, you don't bother to get involved with many people
or care much about what people say or not as it would take too much time away from real world work.
So it is not my intention to form a relationship as relationships take alot of energy, some trust, and for
me verification.
The few other dancers who have struck up a relationship
with me, didn't check out. Esamples, they weren't sho they say they weere, they were married when they said they weren't, they had past trouble on their records.
ATF remains ATF because she is who she is in more
ways than just verification of stories.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
OMG you actually run background checks on dancers.. wow... why do you care. do you run background checks on other service workers you deal with. sorry to sound harsh but thats just wierd to me. so if your atf hadnt checked out to your satisfaction, she gets no money?
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
Only the extremely rare dancer who is attracted to me
and it has to be a mutual. Most dancers don't want a relationship and either do I.
No the ATF would have gotten money. She wouldn't have gotten me. Me is seperate from the money.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
Might add that a dancer customer relationship is
a bit more mentally intimate than the people who repair my car or clean my house. (Lately however, I have been getting
more intimate and frequent than I would like with the car repair people and it is a new car.)
As I value the infrequent relationship, I value the
oral representations put forward. (I just don;t believe them much.)
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
oh so you are talking about a dating relationship or a relationship only in the club? dating i guess is diffrent (although i still find the background check.. well kinda rude) if it is a girl that you see only in the club i will never get why that requires a background check. it's almost stalker like.

And what has been the reaction of those you did a check on? Or do they know? I hope they would know, otherwise it would mean your not being honest...

I don't come to work to meet guys that I want to be friends or have a relationship outside of work with, but sometimes it just happens. You meet a guy and something clicks and the friendship forms.
I would never say go to the club searching this because if it happens, you'll just know.
And besides, the best things come when you're no t expecting them.
Luv,
Amber
Yup, it happened to me..... but only once- with my current relationship. [couple]
I also met several men through the years who were just plain cool but I didn't spend time with them outside the club because of the usual reasons however had lots of fun times in the club.
I guess out of the thousands of customers I have met in clubs maybe a half dozen or so I found compatible for either friendships or relationships.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
Nope, never did have the intention and probably never will. You never know.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
I go with the INTENTION of finding another beautiful lonely dancer who needs to feel close to someone.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
Nope, that's not why I go, I go to be entertained, I go to have a good time.

Happy hunting, I don't think most dancers are lonely. They'll PRETEND to be, just to hook you up and make you spend your money on them.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
No... I'm polite. If highly congruent (with facts)
I don't say "Congratulations, you check out within
95 to 99% of what you say. This is the highest veracity rate I have ever seen."
Conversly I also can't say, Sorry none of what you told me checks out. You aren't Sara Jones, you aren't from
Nashville. You didn't major in engineering at Auburn.
You are divorced from your first husband George Black,
but your present last name of Whitacre is not your first married name but is your present married name.
You have two misdemeanor drugs arrests, and
one bad check writing charge both on supervision.
You are not working here to pay off your sisters medical
credit card bills, but rather to pay off your high
credit card bills.
All of this stuff takes time to find out and sometimes
some money. You can see why not just anyone
would qualify for the time and effort it takes to
get the truth.
Ever wonder why a regular (on occasion) just disappears without a trace or an word?
90% of the time a dancer is just a dancer, and a customer is just another guy. Why waster anyones time and money on anything else?

I have to agree with Velvet.
It's kinda spooky.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
Actually, I agree with Niceguy, to a point. I tend to be "That Nice Guy" to most girls I meet, and when I go to a strip club I am pretty laid back and like to hang out with the dancers. Once I find a place I like and become a regular, for some reason I almost always end up making friendships outside the club. I think some of them start with the girls thinking they may be able to take advantage of me, but that image evaporates pretty quickly when I shoot them down for money loans or borrowing my car or something. Right now, at my favorite place, there are three or four girls whom I hang out with on a friendship basis outside the club, partying and such.
Now, when that occurs, I run simple background checks on them like I do almost all people I spend time with. The reason is simple, I want to know if hanging out with them is going to end up possibly causing me a number of problems, which has happened before, and is very unpleasant. I certainly don't do anything really invasive like credit checks or PI type stuff, but I do criminal checks to see if there is a history of drug arrests or assaults. If so, she just really isn't the kind of person I want to spend time with. I am rather proud of the fact I have never been arrested and want to keep it that way.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
I've never run a background check on anybody and I have no plans to. I tend to trust people until they give me reason not to. Never been arrested either.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
and if you do a check on me, I have been arrested, but that does not make me a bad person. I looked myself up and it doesnt even tell you what I did. I too am a trusting person and will give everyone the benefit of believing them until they prove otherwise.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
Re: Strip club dancer/customer relationship poll
Well that's the whole point. I am not going to judge someone on the basis of 1 arrest, maybe DUI or possession of some pot, small stuff like that. I am talking about multiple arrests for trafficking or aggravated assault, some big stuff. I have seen it before, and chose to end those friendships. I really wouldn't want to be around someone who freaks out and likes to solve things with his fists, or a girl who happens to have a few kilos of ice sitting around her house, just waiting for her "friend" to pick up.

Ditto RH!!! But then if I were really a high roller with money and lot's to lose, I would probably do background checks. As it is my ex got everything there was to get and I'm spending the rest so she can't get anymore. ;) LOL.
