On the par with this is when I'm sitting at a table, just got to a club, haven't checked things out, and a dancer comes up and says, "May I sit with you?" Seems rude to say, "No." But if she's not appealing to me right off, I don't want to say "Yes" and have her monopolize my time while the rest of the ladies leave me alone because there's someone at my table.
That's a tough one too, I have said "No, thank you" to that request too on many occassions and they always seem to give me this odd look, you know the "I only wanted to sit and chat with you, you cheap SOB" look, even though we both know "May I sit with you?" means something entirely different, it makes me feel a bit like a heel whenever I say "NO" to that request. I guess that's the point though isn't it, they want to make it hard for you to say "NO".
