Lap dance vs. air dance..
Aside from the obivious pleasures...
Air dances are the pits I honestly feel more like a perv than anything else, An air dance takes Ambers "bowl of rice" theory to the extreme.
It's like when a dancer you lke gives you the Jr. GYN. show.. I honestly don't need that.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
As I previously said I prefer air dances because I just don't want the germs and dirt and who knows what else of numurous men before me being rubbed all over my body and clothes. I don't understand how having some others mans dried spit, sweat and maybe even cum being slimed all over you is a turn on. I'll leave out the self respect part here but that factors into it for me too. Not to mention that the dancers who do air dances rather than contact are ( in my experience) far, far, far more physicaly attractive. I do visit contact clubs regularly with clients or friends who prefer the grind and this continues to be true as time goes by. also in talking to dancers from both types of clubs I also find that air dancers seem to have more class ,tact and generaly come across as more intelligent and better educated. I see many more contact dancers who appear to be drugged up and for the most part they just look and act like a horse that has been rode hard and put away wet. There are exceptions ofcourse and I notice in the med. level contact clubs that the dancers tend to be a little less- for lack of a better word skanky- than in high contact clubs but still not nearly as hot or bright as air dancers. . Again these are just my opinions based on my personal experiences.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
Here we go again!
In MY opinion, why go to a strip club to find intelligent women? In my years, even tho you will find an occasional dancer with a degree or is working on getting one, I find that going to stripclubs, overall the dancers are dumb as boards! Now I am not picking on all dancers, as the ones that post on here seem to be the opposite, but they are the true minority!

for me, strippers in general are no more physically attractive than the rest of the general population. they're just more willing to take their clothes off.

i didn't know strippers carried around their curriculum vitae. anyway,i don't need intelligence, class or tact in a strip club. they not necessary for me to have a good time. it's not really the place for intelligent conversation anyway and class and tact in a dancer is nothing more than stripper shit. remember, the more successful strippers are also the best actresses.

Many of them also come across as more arrogant and stand-offish because they think they are better than contact dancers. Now not all of them are like that of course, just as not all contact dancers are dirty sluts, just trying to make a point, there is good and bad in both types of dances. Personally I prefer some contact and I agree with some of the previous posters, I could care less how intelligent they are as long as they have some personality and a hot bod.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
Give me an air dance any day..........
The hot air of a ladies breath on my neck and in my ear while shes sitting on my lap grinding and moaning ;D ;D ;D ;D

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
All other things being similar, I'll take a topless two-way contact lapdance over any other option. I have always found contact dancers to be hotter, kinder and more affectionate. The two most beautiful (and nicest) dancers I've ever met are contact dancers.

Personality is a big factor for me...... but a dancer who can not or chooses not to say anything besides "wanna dance" or I'll get you off" doesn't show much personality in my book. Having an showing intelligence is a big turn on for me.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
I find air dances not much different thn watching a movie. I go to SC to interact with people and contact is one of theways. It's certainly true that it is nice to have an intelligent person to talk to, but I'm not expecting to discuss the laws of physiscs in a SC. I see the SC as a place to have fun and use the brain in a differnt way than I'm used to do at work. To say the truth, my experience is that a good part of the dancers is more than able to have a decent converstion. it's just a matter to choose the right one.

class and tact are never "shit" - way too many people need to show more class and tact in general, so when I see it I appreciate it

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
You know what would really be HOT? An extended ten dance session like the following:
1. Having a dancer start out with a couple of air dances where she goes topless.
2. Have her give you a couple of one-way contact topless lap dances.
3. Have her get off your lap for a couple more air dances where she removes her bottom and dances nude.
4. Have her give you a couple of one-way contact nude lap dances.
5. Let her guide your hands whereever she wants them for the last couple songs and REALLY work you over.
They oughta come up with a package deal for something like that, like all ten dances for $200 or something. I'd certainly buy it from my ATF. But what could we call it?

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
I beg to differ, I prefer that to be high contact totally nude all the way :o

class and tact OUTSIDE of a stripclub is never "shit". OTOH, class and tact inside of a stripclub is just one of many marketing tools to extract more cash. it's no different than a dancer rubbing her hand on your thigh or kissing a customer. the right approach can increase sales. someone once said that "they pretend to like us and we pretend to respect them". PRETEND being the operative word in this case. the more successful strippers are also the best actresses. that's fine by me as long as everybody gets what they want.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
As I've said before, I can't justify paying $20 for an air dance. Why pay somebody to put me to sleep?

I guess if that is the way you feel about it then- LOL. I don't know, I find it pretty hard to not pay attention much less sleep when a woman who is up to par physicaly with a Victoria Secret model and with wit and charm to boot, is dancing unclothed a few inches in front of your face all the while looking into your eyes with desire -even if it is faux- it looks damn real ;D
As for the snobby attitude mentioned earlier in the thread well yes I see some air dancers act this way towards customers from time to time( most often it seems the customers treated this way are cheap/demeaning/rude etc.) but I can't say any of them act that way towards me. My guess is it is because I extend them courtesy and respect, which as long as they carry themselves with class and tact, I really do feel towards them rather than as another poster put it PRETEND to feel. That statement "...... pretend to respect them" is very telling indeed.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
Hey Mike, why don't you just go ballroom dancing? The stripclub scene just is not for you buddy. This way you can dance up close, look someone in the eyes, they are dressed up nicely, you dont have to worry about them being in your lap and they arent after your money! Face it Mike, strippers can spot a weakness in a customer, and they are shrewd business people! They have the killer instinct and go for as much money as possible. If they see someone supposedly as nice and respectful as you claim to be, you have sucker written on your forehead and they can see it a mile away. One day you will wake up and see that these dancers have taken advantage of you, then you will be upset and be one of those guys that say "stripclubs are just a place to throw money away" cuz of the experience you had. I have seen it with other so called nice guys, then the nice guy ends up bitter! Anyhow, you can get your air dance doing the ballroom thingy and it will be more rewarding for you.

1. Ballroom dancers do not get topless or naked- I happen to like a live topless or naked woman inches away from me. Ballroom dancers also do not flirt or converse - I happen to like that too.
2. No one has taken advantage of me nor will I allow myself to be taken advantage of in the future, I seek out what I prefer in clubs and I pay for it. No one forces or cons me into doing it.
3. Please stop telling me what is or is not for me or what I will and will not find rewarding. [flaming]
Let me explain something to all you " my way is the only way " types out there..... My wife was killed a few years back. I have a small child that I do not wish to confuse by bringing a new and strange mother figure into her life right now or the near future, so I do not date. I miss being around women, I miss their humor, their smell, their beauty, their point of view. I do not date because I don't want to risk emotional atachment on either my part or the womans part as I am not willing to commit for reason explained above.
Stripclubs allow me to enjoy all the things I miss about women ( leave out the sex- occasionaly I get a high priced escort but only when I just HAVE to get laid) without any emotional risks involved.
Forums like this are supposed to be about expressing differnt points of view, opinions, preferences likes and dislikes yet most posters here seem downright offended that I am of a differnt mindset than the norm here and somehow I am the one being called close minded ???
Give me a break! [grr]

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
Mike, I think minimizing emotional risk is a very important issue.... Club participants understand the rules of limited engagement. Anonymity allows you to talk about problems you could never share in the real world.... I know lots of dancers who are in nursing school, and many of them are healers at work. I can see why air dancers meet your needs.... I know guys who could have anyone they wanted in the real world, but they don't want someone falling in love with them. They have their reasons and clubs meet their needs.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
Mike, while I don't hold the same view as you on lap dances, I certainly understand your reasons for going to strip clubs and I don't think you are anywhere near alone. I started going to strip clubs after a painful divorce and for much the same reason, I just wasn't ready to get emotionally involved, yet I really missed the company of women. It sounds like I probably sexualized the experience more than you, but when I first started going it was primarily for the non-binding female contact. I'm still going, but now it's just because it's my bar, I know nearly ever person who works there and most of the regulars; it's kinda like my home away from home.
One thing I think you should seriously consider is if it's time for you to start opening yourself up emotionally and give dating a try. Grief is a tough emotion to deal with, but eventually you are going to have to; you may have convinced yourself that your child is the reason for your detachment, but I think it's an excuse. I don't know you, but I grasped every excuse I could get my hands on to keep from getting over my grief and opening myself up emotionally but eventually you have to. You aren't doing your child any long term favors by locking yourself up in an emotional prison; she/he needs an emotionally healthy father to grow into an emotionally healthy adult and you know you aren't in an emotionally healthy place. Maybe you aren't ready yet, but you should really consider if it's time to open up your shell.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
Mike: I think you would be surprised by how many men use strip clubs for the same reasons that you do. I'm not comparing my situation to yours or anyone elses but I also think we can all find what we are looking for in either a contact or non contact environment. I do go to both types of clubs and enjoy the advantages of both. I guess the only issue I have is with the generalization I'm sensing from you of a contact dancer being bad and a non-contact dancer being good. I just don't see it that way.

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
Hi guys,
I thought I'd share my perspective,as I've danced in nearly every type of club imaginable.
My explicit preference is to perform light-med contact dances(I touch you, light grind, you might carress my derriere/legs, but NOT breasts), as these enable me to A) Actually dance: I can incorporate truly seductive moves that are impossible to offer when the sole focus of the "dance" is on grinding/groping B)Retain an aura of fantasy/desirability , while C)Providing the customer with a degree of intimacy.
High-contact dancing destroys the performance aspect and is often less alluring than light-med contact; high-contact also leads to disgruntled dancers, in many cases. Air dancing is simply too perfunctory and ascetic. Somewhere in-between is the ideal zone, I believe. Of course, my specialty is quality conversation in conjunction with outstanding dances -- I'm a grad student and something of a dilettante, so my areas of interest, and thus, topics of conversation, run the gamut from international affairs to biology to the arts. I so thoroughly enjoy stimulating conversation, that my enthusiasm spills over into my dances -- more fun for all! :)

I've had some pretty hot air dances, but make mine a good ole contact lapper.8)

Next time I go to the club I'm gonna ask for the "Catfish Special ;D"! Question I have for the Dr. is how much does the club you go to charge per dance? At my club, the charge is $20/dance so this 10 for $200 deal is going to be easy. Since many of the girls here do full nude grinder LD's, I just have to tell them to keep their clothes on alittle longer (steps 1 & 2) ;)
Anyway, I guess my point is that if you want the "Catfish Special", just ask your ATF. As long as you're in a club that allows steps 4 & 5, 1 to 3 shouldn't be a problem. The only other thing is the cost and again, I don't know how much you are paying per LD at your club.
Back on topic - my favorite club right now is a full nude contact club, but I do occasionaly go to a non-contact club, it's walking distance from where I live, I go cause the girls there are in general real hot and nice. I usually end up getting way more dances at the contact club than the non-contact club, I can and do enjoy a very sexxy air dance done right ;D :D ;) :)

Re: Lap dance vs. air dance..
LOL, it should definetly be called the Catfish special!
As for the topic, I want a quality stripper, reguardless of air or lap. If it is quality air vs griding lap, I'd choose the air. If it's quality air vs quality lap, I'd choose the quality lap. At a club I'm looking for somewhat of a connection, not to be treated like a walking penis...but then again, to me stripclub aren't a place for sexual gratification (I understand, for some of you it is). Personallity is the first thing I look for if I'm looking to purchase dances. If I can't mentally connect with a dancer (faked or not), I'm not interested...
