If you have ever been to GGR in NJ your familar with the get a number concept.
So guys what do you think? Would you prefer to do away with "wanna dance" alltogether and just be able to get in line for the dancer(s) of your choice?

As a dancer, I would prefer it on those nights where it's hard to hustle business. However, I make a great peercentage of my money based on personality. It's my wit and conversation that get me numerous dances and big tips, not my T&A. This number notion could be detrimental to my business.
Maybe at some places, but if I walk in I should just go to the top of the list.
There's not such a long line of guys waiting for any particular dancer where I usually go, so I've never done the take-a-number thing. If that situation were different, I think it might be an OK concept.

Been to GGR, done that, I hate it. It was like going to a deli. They even have a video menu so you choose your girl. I at least like to chat a bit before I get a dance.
Nope, I'll take "wanna dance?" any day over "now serving #" :(
LOL... I feel like that too HC. ;D That's why I take the time to set it up in advance. That way I'm always on top of the list. ;)Quote:

I would do that more often, but some just wont.Quote:

Take a number? No thank you. Strip clubs shouldn't be run like a waiting room at a restaurant.
Exactamundo. If you're a really want a dance with a particular gal, set up an appointment if possible. I asked the ladies for their input on this matter on the pink site.Quote:

Although...I did quite well last night without an appointment. I got dances from the gals that I wanted. The hustle factor was about right and everything just seemed to click. It was like the dancers had read my mind or something. I can't expect that to happen every trip though.
:P
Appointments always an option for the out of towner, but I've been known to be less finicky on the road than I am here at home, so I'm a bit more tolerant to "wanna dance". I can always "maybe later" my way out of it without caring about the consequences.
No Thank You...
I will never take a # for a dance! To me that is too impersonal. Sure there are times when the club is just so busy, guys grab the dancer you want while she is walking over to you, but that is the nature of the stripclub business.
I don't like taking a number at the Department of Motor Vehicles and I would not like to take a number at a sc. Like ripley said " there's no telling how long the wait will be because you never know how many dances the guys before you will buy".
Us fuckoes would really throw things off.
no way...there isnt a place in the world that it is enjoyable to take a number before service is given. that would be a complete buzz kill on th sc expierence for me
i've visited GGR at the end of a business trip. anyway, before the trip, i contacted a fellow raincoater who lives in the area and is a big fan of the club. my non-regular impression of the club. i must admit GGR may not be the right club for every customer or dancer. i think your level of enjoyment at GGR depends on the type of customer. people who dislike GGR hate the assembly line aspect of the club. OTOH, people who like GGR love the quality of the LDs and dancers and have an almost cult-like devotion to the club.
the set-up: you get your "ticket" from the DJ. he calls your number and you get your lap(s). it seems simple enough with the following caveat. there will usually be a long wait time until your number is called, so you better bring your lunch, a very thick book or become a big fan of stage dancing.
level of contact: two-way. everything except the kitty seems to be the normal level of contact.
mileage: for me,it was good because i knew who to pick ahead of time. if you don't have an "insider". you can always lurk around the LD area (which other customers hate) or risk a blind lap. BTW, laps are done in an open VIP area. beyond grabbing some T&A, YMMV depending on the girl. it can range from a standard dance to feeding (in the right blind spot) and stick-shifting. the club really isn't set up for much more than that, although i could be wrong :D.
dancers: like any other club there is a range of different looks. i believe, the dancers are deliberately rotated and limited by management to keep the line-up fresh. so, there is a constant supply of fresh girls. judging by some of the wait times, i'm sure some of the more popular dancers find it to be a very lucrative club, indeed. traveling dancers are pretty common at this club. also, the girls are either on stage or performing LD. there is really not much room to chat with customers at the tables. despite that fact, my source tells me that regulars seeing dancers outside the club isn't uncommon, either.
the verdict: i liked it. it's different. i don't think the format is for everyone, but i think that guys who like contact will like this place. guys who like to sit and chat or other intangibles will probably hate this place. the only fanciful changes i would make is to hire more girls and install private booths.
not really. everyone in GGR is a fuckoe or fuckoed by default.Quote:

No Im sure I wouldnt like it. As Fish stated, I, too, typically have things set up in advance. If I happen not to, such as last night, its usually no problem rounding up a flockette or two to hang out.
Would it help me to meet new dancers? The "numbers" system would certainly guarantee dance time with her. However, Id just as soon chat her up on stage or better yet, just wait for her to come over when she notices multiple women hanging at my table and thinks "..hmm..that guy must be spending money.." LOL

I'm little surprised there aren't more yes answers seeing as the biggest complaint I here from customers in general is they dislike the hustle and "wanna dance" aspect the most.
Well if it is someone we want a dance from, it is not a hustle and we dont get it every 5 minutes. On the same note if it is someone we want and they can make a decision about who will spend more. Since I am there more often I would not want to 'wait' in line.Quote:

Would you rather pick the guys yourself instead of 'having' to dance for whoever is 'next'?
I live near GGR and I have followed the club through the SCL board. Mr Punk's review is right on and like he says the club has a very strong following of regulars.
Having said that I have never visited the club and likely will not because of the take a number system. There is frequently hours wait for the popular girls and guys start to line up outside the club before it opens to get a low number. No thanks!
When I get a dance I'd like to think the girl is happy that I said yes, you know that mini adrenilne rush you get when you close a deal. She's asking for dances, maybe has been turned down a bit and then you say yes, I hope she gets a little psyched. By contrast at GGR, the girl just stays by her chair in the LD area and it's one guy after another. It must be awfully tough for her to fain excitement.
A big reason why a lot of the regulars like GGR is because of the very liberal touching/contact rules. I don't look for that element of the dance. I prefer a much more intimate, heavy eye contact, sensual dance than a grind and grab.
So I haven't had the desire to check out the deli number system.
since, i forgot to vote the first time. now, you have 2 whole "yes" votes :D. while, the numbered format of GGR is effective at removing the hustle factor. i think most of the guys recognize that it does so at a cost of other intangibles.Quote:

That's a good point HC the ladies at GGR do not get to pick who they dance with... they have to take the next guy in line. Now maybe they can turn a guy down, but I didn't see that happening while I was there.Quote:

Well Rayanna, don't you see this a big disadvantage for the dancer? Hell, it's kinda like having a blind date every dance ;)
Well having worked at GGR as well as numerous non get a ticket clubs, I have to say I prefered the ticket system and money was very good and very consistant so I can't say I found it to be a disadvantage. Ofcourse "Stripper Shit" was never my strongpoint so that probably has alot to do with things.
I just found that the ticket system kept me from wasting my time on the guys that come to a club to do just that- you know the kind that will ask you to join them and have no intention of buying a dance but will lead the dancer on and on about it.
Oh well I was just curious to see what ya'll thought about it
:-*
If it's a very busy club I don't mind as long as I'm able to get the dancer of my choice. I suppose clubs with lots of dancers can get to be impersonal per se so it makes no difference. If it's a smaller club, I'll do without the "wanna dance" and the hustle and choose if, when and with whom I want a dance :detective:
Oh, two more karmas, great!
as a dancer, I find it extremely convienent!!! Although it does suck cause you dont find your customer, so u can rule out those stinky ones who dont shower. But money wise I fidn it great
I'd hate it, because I'm a lunchtime guy and am generally in a hurry. One time when I went in there was ONE DANCER and maybe 8 customers. If I'd had to take a number there's no way I could have gotten my dances before I had to get back to work.
Having to take a number to see my ATF would totally turn me away from the scene. I view her as so much more than just an object you take turns on using. I can't imagine how a club would function like that. I guess there's a style for everyone.
