Favorite Song in a Strip Club
Ok I'm heading to a new club end of Dec-early Jan and want some new songs in my arsenal. I have seen some good suggestions from the guys on SW but I thought I might as well just come over here and get it straight from the horses mouth. So what song is your favorite stripper song? Or what would you like to hear a stripper dance to?
Come on help me out guys.

Off the top of my head, my fave is Everbody Knows by Leonard Cohen.
And yes, I like Exotica (the Egoyan movie).

Re:Favorite Song in a Strip Club
Shayden,
A few quick ones - I like these not only for the music but for some magical LD experiences I had while they were playing:
Beyonce - Crazy in Love
No Doubt - Keep on Dancing
Effenecese (sp) - How can you...Wake me up.. Not sure of the name
Alanis Morrisette - Track 2 Jagged Little Pill
For stage I like a lot of Techno type music. I associate songs better with LDs than stage dances and I know that doesn't help you.

Re:Favorite Song in a Strip Club
Hey whatever song you like a stripper to dance to, hit me with it. Someone suggested K's Choice-Addict to me on SW and I fell in love, realizing you guys must know what your talking about.
BTW, Spanky Evanescence-Bring Me To Life is the one I think your talking about.
Thanx guys keep um coming. Give me some really good ones and I might even put up some pics after X-mas. :great:

Re:Favorite Song in a Strip Club
It really depends on the girl and the image she is trying to portray (and if she can pull it off).
I like energetic techo music that gets the crowd going, this same girl can play slow sensuous music and move with it and I still have my jaw dropping in amazement.

Re:Favorite Song in a Strip Club
Right now what's really big is:
Britney Spears: Toxic, Breath on Me (Everybody bugs me to bring the CD in)
System of a Down: Aerals, Chop Suey
Trapt: Headstrong
The Offspring: Gotta Keep 'em Separated, Self-esteem
2 Live Crew: Me so Horny
Lots of oldies but goodies. I got my ATF dance to Ugly Kid Joe the other day because I had it in my head. I'm surprised that they had the song.

Re:Favorite Song in a Strip Club
What do you guys think of Robin Trower-Black Betty? I heard that song somewhere and it rocks.
BTW, thanx for the suggestions guys and Lilith! I've downloaded almost all of them now and there are some awesome songs in there I never knew about.
Does anyone know of anything techno-ish, hard beat, really hardcore sexy music? Smurf tipped me off to Basement Jaxx-Get Me Off and I've been trying to look for something like it.

Re:Favorite Song in a Strip Club
Yeah, that Britney Spears Breath on Me is exactly like that. If you want that type of music that song will suit it right.
-
Re:Favorite Song in a Strip Club
I don't know that Robin Trower song, but generally, I like Robin Trower.
I've never heard this song before in a club, but if I had a favorite "strip club song," this would be it. The lyrics don't do it justice - Bob Seger's raspy voice and the mournful guitar make it wonderfully evocative, even if you haven't been there.
Main Street (by Bob Seger)
I remember standing on the corner at midnight
Trying to get my courage up
There was this, long lovely dancer in a little club downtown
I loved to watch her do her stuff
Through the long lonely nights she filled my sleep
Her body softly swaying to that smoky beat
Down on Main Street
In the pool halls, the hustlers and the losers
I used to watch 'em through the glass
Well, I'd stand outside at closing time
Just to watch her walk on past
Unlike all the other ladies, she looked so young and sweet
As she made her way alone down that empty street
Down on Main Street
And sometimes even now, when I'm feeling lonely and beat
I drift back in time and I find my feet
Down on Main Street .....
Down on Main Street
(I hope I'm not causing copyright violations here.)

I have heard this in a club before and this dancer just knew exactly what to do with it.
I usually don't really notice the music but I once saw a feture dancer at Show World in NYC do a great job with Tesla's "What you Give".
