Lip Fuzz- Bleach, Shave, Wax, Leave- Alone?
I have always had some light lip fuzz above my lip. It was blonde when I was younger, about 7 years old - I got ahold of a razor and shaved my upper lip. It grew back slightly darker, a light brown. It almost blends in with my pale skin. But I think its noticeable if my foundation is a little heavy or if you get really close. I've only had maybe 2 or 3 people mention my "mustache" before.
I'm wondering if its worth "dealing" with? Should I bleach it, wax it, nair it, shave it, leave it alone, or what?
I just dont want to deal with breaking out with a rash there, or it growing back thick or darker OR Worse - having a shadow of little stubby hairs until it grows out. ACKKK!! :O

I wax personally. Havn't had any problems yet. When I used hair dipilatory creame (aka Nair)... I had problems.. ouch! If it isn't that much, then bleach it. Otherwise, try having it waxed. DO NOT SHAVE IT (it will grow back thicker and darker).

I agree compleetly!! I cant use Nair..it becomes irritated skin hell!! }:D
I wax it every other week...I have bleached before. It isnt as nice I think. You still have hair their its just blonde, it doesnt have the same soft feel as waxing.

Wow, I don't think you should've shaven that. You should've either bleach, if that was too notiecable def. wax is the best way to go. Waxing thins the hair.
I dont have any hair on my upper lips but if I did, I would laser them off. I want to laser off my arm hair, & pubes. Tired of shaving.

Well, I was a kid when I shaved it. I'm just wondering how the hair looks growing back when you wax? And how long you have to wait to re-wax the hair?

Lol, it happens. When you wax the hairs will grow out thinner. As far as re-waxing, it depends on how fast your hair grows, but they do have to be long enough though.

I would wax it...waxing pulls the hair from the root...so when it grows back the hair is finer and thinner. Also, repeated "uprooting" of the hair can cause the hair shaft to discontinue making hair (like tweezing the eyebrows...notice how in some places you don't need to tweeze anymore?). Waxing is good...you can also try threading. Same thing, only doesn't cause as much "pain" as waxing.

yeah after trying to remove the mustache for years the easiest way is to wax... Removing with those creams burns, shaving creates stubble, threading is like plucking, bleach leaves a really weird blonde/golden mustache for me.

Sucker for pain I must be and pluck them out with tweezers still, over years of doing it I get very few dark hairs anymore

What's threading? I usually wax. I have much less hair grow back now and I haven't waxed for at least 6 months (lip). I have been shaving it for 2 months sometimes and mine isn't darker or thicker. I prefer waxing, but I do get a rash, or zits a couple days later from the irritation.

Re: Lip Fuzz- Bleach, Shave, Wax, Leave- Alone?
When i was younger, my lip fuzz came in very faintly but was dark. I'm light skinned, so i went the bleaching route, but now i'm in my mid twenties and it started coming in too fast and so i decided to start waxing. Problem was, i also have very sensitive skin and i got awful little pimples. So now, i get waxed and IMMEDIATELY put ice on it, like, when i'm driving home from the salon. the next day, before the pimples come, i put neutrogena on the spot acne treatment, before the zits show up, and it really works. So i don't have to do this too much, i bleach the regrowth until its too fluffy, so i don't have to deal w/ a five o clock shadow... ;D
Hope i could be of help ... i'm not a dancer, but i looked up this website for help w/ ingrown hairs on the bikini line, and i've found help for so many other problems as well! This site rules!

have you thought about electrolysis? if you have, don't pluck or wax it-- it makes it more difficult for the person doing the electrolysis. though, as a warning, electrolysis hurts like HELL.
