Ok , so we know it was a record turnout but how many people who could vote didn't/ don't and why do you think that is ?
I think alot of people just don't believe their vote counts - or gets counted :O

Actually they consider it a minor miracle if more than fifty percent of the country votes. Too many people feel that their vote would not matter too much anyways and consider politicians no matter what side as the same wolf in sheeps clothing dressed just a little bit differently. Its too bad that we take the right to vote for granted when people around the world have died just to participate in the political process.
If folks are too apathetic or ignorant to intelligently contribute to the process, they shouldn't be participating in the first place.
Fewer voters = better government

My 20 year old brother didn't get around to registering to vote because he smokes lots of weed and is lazy. He wanted to do a write-in for the socialists as a joke anyway. Remember that youth is wasted on the young.
