Post modern post colonial poets

I've answsered this question, but everything I write just seems to be mediocre,so i thought you ladies and gents may have some helpfull input.
"None of these post modern post colonial poets and authors are from England, yet they are all considered British writers. Using quotes from the works of three of these writers a) what in their work places them in the traditions of British writers? b) what in their work is distinctly not British traditions? In what sense are these writers 'new voices'?"
