see? at least you've met people that everyone has heard of! lol
Since I live in Miami, I've 'seen' a lot of famous people.
Enrique lives 10 minutes from me, and so Anna Kornikova (sp?).....I met Lenny Kravitz two months ago (he just bought a house here)....I met P.Diddy at a club here a few nights ago. I haven't met anyone that I am interested in meeting though.
Maybe One day.
I see OJ simpson almost on a daily basis. His house is only a few minutes from mine. His new girlfriend looks just like his ex.....Scary. He goes jogging every morning up and down the neighborhood. Every woman neighbor that I have has 3 shot guns, and 5 bombs waiting.
Too many to name... I actually hate most of them, so they aren't even worth the mention, but a few who are actually down to earth and cool people are Natalie Portman, Jason Priestly (REALLY AWESOME GUY), Nicole Van Croft (Playboy Playmate of the year - did a song w/ her), and Derek Jeter...
Yea met my share here too, but by far the best was/ is TERRELL OWENS, now with the NFL, Eagles (ok PJ) he is a very nice man, and classy! He was probably married at the time too, he was very very well behaved. Went with Bobby Dahl of Poison, some of you may remember the post were i met him, but he is NOT my type. Still lives near me, but i don't bother, nice guy just not for me. They still tour...Forget it. Too many issues as well.
Also we have the "King Center" near us were alot of bands go! Motley Crue was at our last state fair, easy access....Lol. I talked with Joan Collins once at Hallmark...Lol. And many others came around the clubs, but you forget, mainly rock band people. Not many actors i have seen, but other dancers claimed on a night off so and so (actor) hit the club. Terrell by far the BEST.

Living and dancing in New Orleans,I have met too many to list.
I have met (not whilst dancing) Pet Shop Boys, The Motels, Limahl, Nigel Kennedy, Cliff Richard, Neil Diamond, Grace Knight (and also when she was with Eurogliders), Pseudo Echo, The radiators, Iva Davies, DefFX, The Church . . . a lot of these bands and artists were / are on EMI so that's how.
I have met Andy Lau (famous HK superstar), various opera stars and minor Aussie celebrities over the years too. But no one terribly super world famous.
Really have only met a couple.
Harrison Ford
Jesse James (on his way to Sturgis)
Being in the 'butt crack of the nation'....we don't see many around here. Gotta live in Vail or Steamboat to see them.
I've met Jenny McCarthy and Rob Zombie-both of them seemed nice.
I walked past Bryant Gumbel on a near-deserted NYC street probably as he was going home after a "Today Show". Hardly looked at him cause I knew he wanted to be recognized and I just don't do that. He was looking at me and smiling. I ignored him and only commented to my friend after he was long past us.
Handsome sort of guy, I'm sure he got plenty of recognition. Sure didn't need mine. <grin>
Tori Amos (it was like meeting god)
Cold (all the old members--all pretty cool--hung out with them quite a bit over the years)
Godsmack (also very cool. Sully's hilarious)
Flaw

At work:
Meryl Streep
Dudley Moore
Steve Forbes
Mr. Delorean (I forget his first name-the guy who made the car)
Elsewhere:
The Cranes (UK band, one of my old favorites)
Midge Ure from Ultravox (probably the sweetest man alive)
Jay Aston from Gene Loves Jezebel
Rozz Williams
Peter Criss (at the mall!)
Tom Savini
Daniel Ash
David J
Lots of various horror movie people from my days as a horror con geek, but I'm not sure that counts as they are supposed to be there to meet you! Okay, not mostly at work, though it seemed like it.
That's all I can think of right now. It's late.

Famous is some non-headlined member of a rock group, hopefully not drugged out at the moment? Right?
I'd rather meet the 2nd bassoon of the Phila. Orchestra or someone in the Tonight Show band or a Pulitzer prize nominee. But that's just me.

I was in this Atlanta music store looking at a tele, and then noticed a strat, and the owner said that one's sold. He said, notice the cresent moon, "yeah", it belonged to Joe Perry once. "Okay, cool", and he said Slash bought it. He had us hold it up by the sign outside and photograph it, and then he wired the money. So, several years later I was with a friend at a show who had brought a a guy from work. The guy from work had brought a sketch pad. Slash started drawing in it for like four or so pages before the show with all these really creative characters and stuff. So later I was talking to my friend and told him about the guitar I saw in Atlanta, and he said - "Oh yeah, that was probably the one Slash sent Joe for his birthday". He said, "Yeah, it's pretty cool, he gave Joe back a guitar he once had". you may not be able to take it with you, but what comes around - goes around brother/sister...
