For a partytime set: Aerosmith's "Back in the Saddle"
Bob Seger, "Hollywood Nights" "Night Moves"
Led Zeppelin, "You Shook Me"
These do get airplay sometimes.....IMHO, some customers like a reference point for a song....not enough creative custies out there, heh,....
my club doesn't play much classic rock, but i thought rolling stones' "honkey tonk woman" would be a good choice. i love that song. anyone ever dance to it or had it played in their club?

There's another song that slips my mind, but its by April Wine... and one by Ambrosia that was pretty fun to dance to as well..
I grew up with uncles who both graduated in 1978- I had a full education of music by the time I was 12.
And Fem, yes, I've danced to Honky Tonk Woman.. but I tell you the best set if you really want to have some fun... And I played the hell out of this set (they do a three song set here in Idaho)- Open with Strangelhold, follow it with Slow Ride and end with Rock Candy... worked like a charm each and every time... ;D
Seems an obvious one, but haven't heard it in the club.
Maneater
by Hall And Oates
Album:
She'll only come out at night
The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new, I've seen her here before
Watching and waiting
Ooh, she's sittin' with you but her eyes are on the door
So many have paid to see
What you think you're gettin' for free
The woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar
Money's the matter
If you're in it for love, you ain't gonna get too far(Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up(Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater(Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up(Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater
I wouldn't if I were you
I know what she can do
She's deadly man, she could really rip your world apart
Mind over matter
Ooh, the beauty is there but a beast is in the heart(Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up(Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater(Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up(Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneaterOoh,(Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, Watch out boy she'll chew you up(Whoa-oh, here she comes. Watch out) She's a maneater(Oh-oh, here she comes. She's a maneater) Ooh, she'll chew you up(Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, she's a maneater(Oh-oh, here she comes. Watch out) She'll only come out at night, ooh(Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, she's a maneater(Oh-oh, here she comes. She's a maneater) The woman is wild, woo(Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes. Watch out boy, watch out boy(Oh-oh, here she comes) Oh, watch out, watch out, watch out, watch out(Oh-oh, here she comes) Yeah, yeah, she's a maneater(Oh-oh, here she comes.
