The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
Naturally, all of you who work in "The Industry" must continuously deal with annoying customers, obsessed customers, rude...crude....obnoxious... presumptuous....etc.
But....there are times you run into someone who is decent...and you respond in kind.
Are there times where you have gone over the top...for a customer? Have you done anything for a customer? Anything as simple as foregoing time with other people just to sit and listen for a while?
Re: The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
The only thing I can think of is that once there was this cute shy girl in the club with a couple of her guy freinds that she worked with. I flirted with her a little bit, gave her a lapdance, but she was totally trashed and beyond incoherent. Well, when closing time came the guys left her there (cause they lived in the opposite direction from her). I took her for food and sobered her up a little and took her home...

Clean out his wallet....
Dust bunnies and what not...
LOL ::)
Lame but....
Give him a free dance for his birthday.....
Give him a Christmas card....
Buy him a drink....
Re: The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
That was sweet of you, Lena.
I had a customer come in once....Early 60s, nice smile, and a decent personality. His wife had recently died a year or two back. He had no kids, and no family. I guess he thought maybe going out to a strip club would be the short cure for being alone. I talked to him for three hours straight. He just seemed extremely depressed, and down on his life. I don't know if i helped any but I made him laugh a few times.
Better than nothing. :)

Re: The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
Alot of my customers are regulars. A few of them have been coming to see me for 2-3 years. Some of them are friends to me. If they're having a hard time in life, we'll just sit and talk, no pressure for dances. One of my guys, Dan, has to drive out of town alot and get's bored, so I lent him some books. I've made C.D.s, bought (small) Christmas presents, sometimes just given them a hug and walked away because they had too much on their minds, and just needed to be alone.
It works both ways though, when I got my new apartment and had nothing to put in it, my customers brought me a T.V., VCR, fruniture, and a computer. They will let me vent if I'm in a bad way, and give me advice. If I'm short on bills, they'll tip me extra. One helped hook me up with the place that I got my car from. They'll go out and get me food and cigarettes.
I like when people do things like that for me, so I'm happy to do the same for them!

Re: The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
Oh, one time this guy begged and begged and called me cruel for saying no, so finally I gave in and put a cigarette out on his tongue. He said it was the best thing anyones's ever done for him. LOL
Re: The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
I've made them CD's of me spinnin some of my self made electronica tracks, free posters of me,buy them drinks, and ummm...that's it.
Re: The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
You know....so often you talk about the bastards most of the customers are. But there are these times you have mentioned where you have done something incredibly simple....and yet it's good...and obviously you recognize it. It is good....and those moments should be remembered.
Last night the dancer that gave me a lapdance said to me, "We need more customers like you." Why? Because I did something simple. That is....I was decent...something so simple....and it meant a great deal.
Re: The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
This was cute: (I was going to post something about withholding violence, but this is nicer) a sad-faced guy with a finger splint walked into our bar. My two dancer pals and I grouped around him and asked him what the problem was. He had accidentally sliced his finger open with a boxcutter at work, and was in pain still after getting it fixed. I gave him painkillers, and we just chatted with him. He told us funny stories about tripping on acid.
Re: The Nicest Thing You Have Done For A Customer
I've bought customers drinks before, but only after they have spent a good chunk of money on me. I've sat and listened to customers vent if they're having a bad day and then given them a hug afterwards. I've given my favorite customers cards on their birthdays and little souvenirs (magnets, pens, shot glasses, etc.)after I've come back from a trip. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary for a customer...just little things.
