Dating a Stripper "how to" book
As a funny gift for Xmas, I bought my bf the book "How to Date an Exotic Dancer" which I heard about from the Howard Stern show.
So far it seems to be a very informative book, especially for the guys out there who always go to these clubs, but don't really know how to approach & conversate with a dancer so she'll see you as a friend as opposed to a customer.
Some funny tips she tells guys not to say are:
1. Don't ask the girl are those real
2. Don't tell her she should be working at a better place
3. What else do you do for a living
3. If she has a boyfriend/kids
4. Can they take you out, on vacation, or a paid night on the town.
5. If they can wait for you till your shift ends?
Every question she mentioned I've heard on a nightly basis like a broken record;D
Has anyone else read this book? What were your thoughts?
Re: Dating a Stripper "how to" book
Where can we get this book?
Re: Dating a Stripper "how to" book
I think the author of that book was on this site a couple of months back. Posted the link in Customer Conversation. Got a pretty tepid reception as i recall.
Personally, i just think it's funny that she's retired yet still making money off guys that want to screw her.
Re: Dating a Stripper "how to" book
Good for her. I wish those rules could be posted on the front door of every club in the world.
Re: Dating a Stripper "how to" book
I found her book on www.howtodateanexoticdancer.com
She's pretty smart to think about writing a book & make money from it.

I agree. Admirablely shrewed businesswoman.
How come no one writes a book "How To Date a Long Haired Bartender Who Is In School to Become a History Teacher"? ;D

I'm giving a presentation on being a stripper at a high school next week (part of their ethics seminar), and my girlfriend is going along with me to facilitate discussion. Anyway, she's got some perspective on the issues our partners have. She says she should start a support group, lol. "Partners of Strippers"

A high school? Wow! Things have changed.
Re: Dating a Stripper "how to" book
i got this book as a gag gift, and honestly found it to be funny. it was also really short...took about 15 minutes to read. i agree with some aspects of it, but honestly, i don't feel like dating anyone that i might meet in the club. sure, there might be the rare exception, but the typical customer who reads this book is not going to get a date with me, despite her "tips." i'd be too wary of the consequences. but good for her for marketing this book and making her money!

It's a coed boarding school that my girlfriend went to when she was in high school. The week after they come back from X-Mas break, the students have a week of presentations from issues they've been learning about all year. For example, the day before I present a laywer is coming in to discuss the legal aspect of the death penalty. I'm speaking on the sex industry, etc. It's a really great program that allows the kids to see all sides of controversial issues. I wish my high school had offered a similar program.

i remember when the author came on here to plug. Most of us just told her that we didn't think there needed to be another book about how to date strippers.

A perfect example of Casual Observer's Universal Stripper Conundrum in action.
Good to see you're still around, BDD.

I'm writing a book, "How to Date a Comedy Writer/Performer"
Chapter 1: Ask him out
Damn, I think that's the entire book.

quote Prester John:

Well, I tried to date one. I gave him my #, he did not call.
Re: Dating a Stripper "how to" book
whirlerz, I lost an Ultimate Fighting Championship contestant's card. I wanted to call him but the card vanished into thin air.........aaack! Sometimes people really do lose a number they wanted to call...
(..."Date a stripper"? Why? I feel dry rot on my heart when I read that sentence.)
