Cocktail Waitressing...HELP!!!
Hello ladies:) First let me say what a relief it is to find a site where I can get a some specific and valid advice! I need as many pointers as I can get. I'm looking to begin cocktail waitressing at a strip club, and I need help getting prepared. I live in New York City, and I have lots of options. There are a few spots I've had my eye on but can anyone recommend a few places. Also, how should I look? It's COLD here now. Should I still dress revealingly? If so, or if not, what the hell should I wear? Also, is it harder for Black women (as far as getting hired)? I'm very exotic looking, and I think I have the body as well as the attitude. I'm pretty smart and catch on fast, but I've not waitressed at all. I'm going to bring my resume (even though it has nothing to do with this industry lol). Please feel free to tell me any and everything you know, whether I asked about it or not. Thanks a bunch and much respect!
Re: Cocktail Waitressing...HELP!!!
Hello I applied to two places in philly and it seems as though its hard to get thid kind of job. The only thing i was offered was a job at a location in new jersey that was far from my house. And i have a lot of experience. But you should try you never now when someplace might be hiring but you might have to wait. I really not think that they care about any work history though. The owner just glanced at my application then took me to his office and took a picture of me. You should probably wear something sexy to interview but not slutty. Wear a coat if you cold : ) . And I guess when you work your outfit would probably depend upon the club. Go to the clubs that you want to work at and see what there wearing before you apply if you want. Or just call the clubs and ask

I live in Florida so i can't help you find a place in NYC, but i will say dress sexy but classy! They will be looking at you, but also want to know what you can offer them, i.e. Serving drinks, experience.
It will serve you well to ask questions about dress. What do they like the ladies to wear while working? And sound very excited!!! They love that!
Good luck hun!
Pamela :)
Re: Cocktail Waitressing...HELP!!!
Thank you both for replying. I'll keep everything in mind (especially the part about being excited). And I'll be sure to let you know how things progress in the coming weeks. And Ms. Pamela your picture is amazing!

where did u apply at in philly?
Re: Cocktail Waitressing...HELP!!!
Cocktail waitressing at Flashdancer's in NYC can be very lucrative. They are the only club chain that allows their waitresses to do champagne rooms. Flash is also known for there high rolling customers and strict CR policies. But the downside is that there are too many waitresses and that is why they allow them to do CR. MY bestfriend works there and avg 's about 600-800 a night waitressing.

Silky I applyed at Cheerleaders and Club Risque
Re: Cocktail Waitressing...HELP!!!
LOL..... what's the difference between a strip club waitress and a strip club dancer? About three weeks!
Seriously, though, I have known girls who settled into a great gig as a waitress and made a bunch of money. In the best clubs, the best waitresses can make as much as the dancers. However, in my observation, there is a huge gap between the best waitresses and the worst, and waitressing is a LOT more work!
With THAT out of the way, most good clubs have some sort of dress code OR uniform for their waitresses. If there is no dress code, then I'd go for the job interview dressed NICELY.
Re: Cocktail Waitressing...HELP!!!
I've heard of Flashdancers...the guys are always on the street in Times Square handing out fliers. But I didn't know it was known to be so lucrative. A few other places that I thought I'd try are Privilege, and a newer place called Skin. I'm going to dig up some strip club listings online and keep asking around. I have a pretty good idea about how I should look, but I'm going to hit up some spots to check things out beforehand. The CR thing was something I wondered about so thanks for the info. Aagin, thanks for all the input ladies...
