Work From Home
This might be off the subject of the adult et. biz, but I decided to ask here since I cant get straight answers or anything elsewhere. I live half an hour from Baltimore. Hubby is military. When we got here I decided to try to start selling Partylite again (expensive candles and things), because I did it in alaska and was doing fine from it, making the $ and such. I get here, and it is so damn difficult to even try to book a party. I asked every female in my husbands unit, and they blew me off. I asked neighbors, and they werent interested. I see all these women who are successful at selling mary kay, pampered chef, ect. but I cannot for the life of me get my thing back up out of the ditch it is in now! I need HELP and I donno what to do. How am I sposed to book parties if no one will help me out?? Who do I turn to for possible customers? I have no idea what to do. One of my dear ex customers said he would help me out by giving me the $ to get started again (buying the catalogs, papers, ect.), but I feel that if I even try to do it again I will just fail. Am I a failure?!? I just have no idea how to do it or what to do. :-[

Re: Work From Home
I donno how to advertise..its like I called so many people this past summer to do one, and I got blown off. Maybe its just me, maybe I am just not a likeable person?

Re: Work From Home
Or maybe you'r selling the wrong stuff......
and maybe you are looking in all the wrong places for buisness.....
have you tried making your own web site....
or listing these things for sale on an international aution site?
like ebay, or yahoo...

Re: Work From Home
This might sound strange to you, but,I will say it anyway..Try the Bingo halls! I'm serous, alot of people sell things there and make alot of money doing it.go play bingo and speard the woed around,I started a cleaning buisness right out of high school that way.People who go to bingo are one of a kind though!

Re: Work From Home
I LOVE bingo, and that actually isnt a bad idea! I can go one night when hubby is off work, and play & advertise at the same time :D Good idea tia. I will definitely have to try that, and then if I have any bites, I can ask my ex custy if he will still fund my PL. I am definitely not doing anything though until I get responses, because I have failed the past few times..im not setting myself up for failure again! ;)

Re: Work From Home
First hun meet more people! Target the crowd who buys these products (i am sure you will have an eye for them). Have a few cheap business cards made out, set them in libraries, and any other public place if you wish. Run a small pretty add! It helps. You have to market you!
Good luck!

Re: Work From Home
Make some flyers up and copy them on the internet,Also,a great idea is to advertise for 12 dollars a week in the local pennysaver,or you can get a nice free website,If youy happen to know a computer pro!

Re: Work From Home
I will definitely try these things to see how I do before I jump into it. the military wife crowd isnt all that great to target, seeing as how our husbands dont get paid that much, but occasionally you can find a couple that have the $, and have friends with $. The other problem is that Im in such a huge area, and I want to do this very locally, as I dont want to be driving to Baltimore looking for someones house that wants to do a party, or worse, DC. I will definitely give it a whirl though, and make some flyers up and pass them around. Hopefully this time I will be able to get through to some people. I just wanna make a little $! ;)
