legal questions??
I'm not currently a stripper, but considering it. I know everywhere has different laws, but what are the basics? Let's hypothetically say that my SO is in Law Enforcement. We really need the money and he is cool with it. BUT...I could not ever get in trouble because it would hurt his job, right? If I decided to dance, what would be a safe approach to never getting busted doing something wrong? Thanks for the advice!

Re: legal questions??
I think you need to elaborate on what part of the country you are in as your chances of even getting into trouble (and how much) vary by location. We can give you a better answer that way.
I know a lot of girls here in Reno date people in law enforcement but no one really gets in trouble here anyway so it is a moot point. In Seattle, it also seemed like a lot of girls dated law enforcement. However, the cops are really ticket-happy up there. The side effect was using ticketing as a control and revenge device by jilted boyfriends or enemies (yours or his)on the force.
(Forgive me if this is worded confusingly, I am pre-coffee)

Re: legal questions??
I'm in Arizona. I've heard of people getting busted before.....but not exactly sure for what. Thanks again

Re: legal questions??
My husband is a police officer. I had been dancing since 2002, and I just recently quit. He never got in trouble over my job. All I can say is, don't broadcast where you will be working. Secondly, stay out of trouble, and away from the drugs. Just go in to work, do your job, and go home. Very simple really.

Re: legal questions??
Retired Dancer is right. Just keep your nose clean and you'll be fine. Most of the laws are common sense such as don't give anyone the impression you are prostituting and they'll have no reason to believe that you are etc. In Arizona, the laws are pretty generic from what I understand. My advice is you just talk to your club management and see what they tell you. That's why they are there. :)

Re: legal questions??
Thanks everyone, especially retired dancer. Makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only wife of a cop that wants to dance:) I'm definetely not into drugs or anything so that won't be a problem...I have 2 kids. I wouldn't risk that even if hubby wasn't a cop. Thanks again to all.

Re: legal questions??
Np, and it really won't be a problem when you dance. I had none, and I have a little girl as well. Good luck to you!

Re: legal questions??
I agree with all the advice.. Just find out what the laws are, keep up with them and you should do fine, def don't let anyone know you are married to a cop (even dancers get funny about that.)
yep, keep your nose clean and you shouldn't have any problems... Good luck!
