Do you think this is odd?
There's a new girl at the club. She seems to be a bit out there. Her style of dance is like nothing any of us has ever seen, can't even begin to describe it.
Now here's the weird part, she has stated to other girls and to management that she will not do lap dances because, and these are quotes....
"they are degrading"
"I'm saving my sensuality for my boyfriend"
"It steals the soul"
She also likes to ask girls why they started and don't they think that what they're doing is degrading. What are you doing then if we are degrading ourselves? Last night during Power Hour (last hour of just dancing in VIP) she goes to the dressing room and gets a camera and tells a customer that she's going to "capture the lunacy of lap dances". Luckily she didn't take any pics before the DJ caught her.
The club is starting to get to be more of a hustle bar and stage money isn't what it used to be. So why would someone be a dancer in this type of enviroment with out doing lap dances?

Re: Do you think this is odd?
wow susan, thats crazy!
Maybe she's on a religious crusade to stop dancers from giving dances?
anyway.. she needs to be fired!
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
she does sound like someone on a mission...not a regular dancer trying to make a living.
she does need to go. THe club is at risk for some kind of expose' too.
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
I agree, your club isnt the place for her.(and dont send her across the street!!lol)
A dancer in this town who doesnt do lapdances isnt going to make alot of money unless she is one bad ass biotch.
I have met quit a few entertainers who wont do lapdances.
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
me too, but those dancers don't get self-righteous about it to other dancers
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
I was a stage dancer for a long time. No ld's, i hated them. My first ld in the club, a man tried to get his fingers inside me,but that was all i wanted was to be able to do the stage. I don't understand her. I thought nothing of the others doing ld's, just my own experience.
Now i do ld's because i know how to handle the situation. Anyway, she is odd.

Re: Do you think this is odd?
Does the management know? If she doesn't enjoy the work...then she needs to be let go. She will drag down the energy of the entire club!
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
lol, Susan, did she start at Richard's? If so, I've heard about her and how they even had to let her go... Can't remember her name, but I heard she was really a mess and had no boy friend either..... Yep, Richmond seems to be getting weirder and weirder.

Re: Do you think this is odd?
Maybe she's doing research for her upcoming tell-all book on strippers./:O
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
She sounds like she is seriously confused. Someone needs to sit her down and tell her she is a hypocrit, explain the definition of a hypocrit, and tell her examples of what she has done. I would.
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
yup I'd say that chick is up to something allright and an anti stripper book doesnt sound too far fetched either.
i've known a couple of dancers who prefer to work on stage only but sure didnt have that kind of attitude or at least they didnt express it if they did.

Do I think this is odd??
I think this is extremely dangerous. She needs to be told that she is putting people in danger. When she takes pictures of people, their anonymity has been compromised.
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
Okay, This girl is a hazard. I mean breaking out the camera is a bit extreme. I freak out if i see a custy with a camera phone. I'm not sure what I'd do if I saw another dancer trying to take pics. I definately think she needs to go. What if she scares away custys because of her bizarre behavior...

Re: Do you think this is odd?
Maybe she is an undercover narc looking to find drug dealers. She sounds like she is a poser.
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
Well, we've all agreed she's nuts, right? Now, what KIND of nuts?
Some girls find themselves in places where they hate THEMSELVES for being in that place, ya know? Rather than turn on HERSELF, she's built this wall around herself where she (yeah....somewhat psycotically) forgets that SHE'S THERE TOO and treats everyone else there like an animal at the zoo. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a fair amount of fairy dust around her nose.
One of these nights, she's gonna figure out who she is and where she is and what she's doing there, and the scene is NOT going to be pretty. In fact, that's the sorta scene where people get carried out on a strecher babbling about hearing voices and talking to God.
Not pretty.... hope she has her breakdown on someone else's time.

That's her alright! And don't worry BigGreen, I wouldn't send her down the road to you guys, maybe the Rabbit, or to Tuckers! (local loony bin)
She did get a talking to by some of the girls Friday night in the dressing room, they were very pleasant though, not mean. She was told by one dancer that her behavior on stage during 2-4-1's, the way she wa dacning, was unproffessional.
We also tried to explain that the reason we don't have house fees anymore is beacuse of the LD's. 5 of the 25 goes to the house, so why should those of us who do LD's and give the 5 off each dance to the house carry her and enable her not to have to pay anything. She still didn't get it.
The only good thing about her is that you never know what she's going to do next on stage, sometimes it's very entertaining.

Re: Do you think this is odd?
about the camera.... I hope that the bouncers took the film from her.... thats what usually happens when cameras get caught in the clubs I've worked.
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
Well, good luck Susan, I heard she was quite a trip!!
She harrassed a lot of customers so that I think they actually gave her a piece of their mind (not the usual at Richard's.)
Yeah, many of the dancers didn't appreciate the "I'm saving my sensuality routine," isn't that what makes a dancer the best, her sensuality? Ah well.
-
Re: Do you think this is odd?
I think I have an idea of who you are talking about....maybe management needs to start explaining to these new girls that the income provided by lapdances is what is keeping us house-fee free and that's the way the majority of us would like to keep it. But, oh well...if she doesn't want to do them that's more money in our pockets. :)

Re: Do you think this is odd?
stay away...don't get engaged in a conversation with her. She sounds a little to curious!

And how come i dont know this trisha girl???

Re: Do you think this is odd?
I was a stage dancer for years too.
Send her ass up to Good Guys if she's not comfortable doing LD's, or Crystal City Restaurant in NOVA.
Either way, she's in the wrong place and doesn't need to be going out of her way to make everyone else feel like shit.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Kinda a college newspaper undercover reporter kind of thing. Sounds like she already has her mind made up about things too.
