Only if Halo 2 counts...;)
Surely does. Legend clan includes Halo and Diablo, deuce versions.
No Evercrack, though. Those people are just weird.
I don't do online gaming, but I am addicted to Sim 2.
i pondered picking up Age Of Mythology the other day. it was packaged with the titans expansion. i put it back though as i am in the middle of several different games. it looked like your average Warcraft type of sim/campaign game. is it worth grabbing? i think it was only like 30 bucks for the double pack.
Doooood, GRAB IT. That's 25% off retail price. Get the strategy guide while you're at it. It'll save you the trip next week when you realize you're dying a slow, agonizing n00b death because you don't know what to do.
And Warcraft? You insult my beloved game. *snuggles game* But yeah, it's another Sims/war campaign strategy game. It was also voted Best of 2004 and had top sales spot, and therein lies the difference. People love it and buy it and give it awards for good reason.
I haven't got it yet, is it any good?Quote:

Only have really stayed at one online game. Warbirds.
It's for the World War II flight junkies :)
It's so much fun. Micromanagement at it's best.;DQuote:

For your gaming pleasure, Lilith, AoE III is coming out later this year.
I play Halo and Starcraft online with a friend of mine from arkansas.
I dig the real time stratecy genre... I play Starcraft, Warcraft 3 (with expansion), the aforementioned Age of Mythology (Titans expansion), war of the ring... Currently, i'm beating my head against battle for middle earth.
My boyfriend plays Age of Empires like crazy. Probably average of 8 hours a week for over a year. Sometimes he has trouble finding online games that are open. (Often he'll just play with his friends but wants other competition-if you guys on SW want to play he'd probably join you.) He's played Age of Mythology too but Empires more. He gets really into the strategy.
City of Heroes and World of Warcraft. But am a "bit" too busy lately to play either of them. My friends are though and constantly trying to get me on line to play with them.
I had been very much into EverCrack a few years ago ... until life demanded more attention. Met some really nice people on it though and no other MMORPG has come close to the sense of community and friendships that EQ created. One of my EQ friends and I still communicate via email, YIM, and webcam. She's in Finland and thus played after work for her which was daytime here for me.
I've played Anarchy Online during its final beta and wasn't impressed. The final day of the final beta was the most anti-climatic climax in the history of online gaming. No one could to get the big battle zone for the climatic battle and when you did (by GMs porting people there), you had literally a 1,000,000 credits but could only buy the extremely cheap newbie gear. And if you tried to go attack the other side, the NPC guards mowed you down before the players on the other side could even get a shot off. I also played in the final beta for Star Wars Online and raising its trade skills was mind-numbing.
Macros work wonders here... You can master one in a few days...Quote:

My brother is a huge fan of Half Life. He told me he hooked up his computer so he could talk to the people he plays against at one point and learned a lot of them were little kids! I'm sure he'd love it if he met some ladies on there instead. I'm not too into games myself.
Bunny,
That's the case with most of these games. However, one of the nice things that did tend to happen in the old EverQuest was the adults eventually found each other. There were a lot of guilds where you had to be of a certain age to join. Most just had you call one of the guild leaders to chat a bit as the way to prove it. I belonged to one that was pretty much made of 30s and 40s year old. There was one guild ... I think it was called the Silver Furs ... that you had to be a retired senior citizen. They were really good. They played all the time. Their guild and ours would group up for some raids. They made our group look like amateur hour but did so in a very polite and friendly way. We learned a lot from them everytime we raided with them. Very nice people.
However, if it is just shoot-n-kill type of online game, the above never gets a chance to really come about.
I dont play online cause im on dial up.
Big fan of AOE.Next time your playing, hit enter, then type"how do you turn this thing on".
A cobra mustang appears with a granade launcher.
Knocks a stampeading elephant on its ass!hehehehehe
ok its cheating!
I have been a huge fan of the westwood Command and conquer series also.Great combat strat game.
My bf loooooves the strategy games. /I/ suck at them.
I like role-playing, keep promising myself City of Heroes and possibly WoW when I get the new computer [eventually! one day!]. I've played Day of Defeat, not too big a fan of Counter-Strike [I don't like that whole waiting to regenerate thing]. I loved the old text mu*s, I met a penpal from Medievia and my best friend had a bf [briefly] from the Dragon Riders of Pern Mush. Ah, good times, good times.
Wow.. We have quite a few online roleplayers here. Awesome!
The only thing I've played online is
I know it's probably nothing like what anyone else plays, but it kept me busy for awhile, until I got bored of it.. LOL
I play IceWind Dale here at home (offline), I have all the expansion packs, and I totally love it! I'm addicted, I'll admit it.
Lilith, I've had AoM in my hands everytime I go to CompUSA or EB, but I always drop it for something else.. LOL.. I should actually make it to the register with it one day.
My Hubby played Diablo online forever until he found Horizons. Now he plays that pretty much whenever he can. He also went through an Evercrack phase.
It's funny too, because I used to pick on him constantly for playing games, but as soon as I tried one, I was hooked. Heh
Besides AoM, what other good RPGs are out there now? I want a really good one with a lot to do. I'm not really much for heavy combat, or anything like that. I'm more into exploring, casting, and uncovering things. Anything like that around?
My first good job out of college was as an Art Director for a game company out of Austin, Tx.
I was really more into the military simulation stuff, but I have been thinking of getting into some of the other kinds of games out there.
I have a question for those into Age of Empires--is this the same thing as the game called simply "Empires"? I doubt it, or it would say so, lol. I bought an "Empires" game at a very reduced price which looked to be very good, if it was oriented for teenagers (or so it said on the box). But I have had trouble installing it on my computer, and I just gave up.
IceWind Dale is one of the all-time best games. Man, I loved playing that. Unfortunately, my computer got hit with a nasty virus and I lost lots of stuff, including my saved games from IceWind Dale. I tried to recreate them for the sequels but just couldn't. They lost their appeal then. :(Quote:
