Permit/license to dance in Vegas?
I'm going to Las Vegas for the NASCAR race in a couple of weeks, and would like to dance a night or two in a club there, if possible, just for the fun of it. I always have the urge to get up and dance when I'm there!
Do I need a license/permit to dance in Vegas? If yes, how do I get one? How long does it take? Can I get one online or by phone?
Finally anyone know of a good club that would allow me to just do some dancing for the fun of it? I'm thinking amateur nights, but any other suggestions are appreciated!
BTW--I'm NOT trying to cut in on the action that's sure to come from the tons of NASCAR fan/customers. I'd be more than happy to just give any tips I make to another dancer, especially if we do a dance together or whatever. I just want to go have some fun!
Re: Permit/license to dance in Vegas?
yes you have to have a licence....i dont know what the procedure is now...but i got mines i 2002' and i paid 35 dollars. I had to go downtown LV next to the fremont expierence...i had to get mines from the sherrifs office. I got it in the same day ...just that quick!
oh yea and also you need your Birth certificate , and valid SSC...and you need to go to a stripclub and get a sherrifs card refferal from them in order to get your licence!

Re: Permit/license to dance in Vegas?
Most clubs in Vegas will not allow you to dance unless you have a business liscense which will cost $100.00 if you go to the department of taxation on your own - or some clubs will let you pay them a $50 fee on top of the $100.00 and they will send one of their people down to take care of it for you. You also have to get a Sherrifs card - I can't remember if it cost me $35 or $45. So basically you are looking at paying around $150 - $200 in liscensing to dance here in Vegas.
Just so you know, a lot of dancers don't hit the lap dance jackpot like they expect to when they come out here. There are a lot of clubs and it's pretty common for the dancers outnumber the customers. If you are a very good hustler then it's possible to make some decent $$$- but just so you know the competition is very intense.
They just opened another new mega club out here called SIN. I haven't been there yet. Treasures has opened up again as well.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Here is a list of some of the big clubs in addition to the ones mentioned above:
Sapphire, Spearmint Rhino, Club Paradise, Crazy Horse Too, Olympic Garden, Jaguars and Cheetahs.
