Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
I am originally Ukranian and my home country is calling my name! The flights are very expensive ($1200+) to go there and I think if I do I would like to dance there. Are there any russian speaking girls or just interested girls in coming to Ukraine or even Russia? I have already e-mailed every club there and asked for info. If anyone wants to come with, I should let you know that I speak the language fluently and you won't have language problems if you are with somebody who understands it.
Also, has anyone actually worked in russia/ukraine?

Bon Voyage to you Meea,Good Luck and live long and prosper!

Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
I am from Ukraine Meaa, born in Kiev. I wouldn't recommend dancing in Ukraine BUT I think there would be money at the Spearmint Rhino in Moscow. Its on Novey Arbat, which is a huge popular boulevard.
Moscow is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in, right up there with London and Tokyo. Part of the Rhino is on the Starey Arbat, which is a huge tourist trap street. I bet there could be bank.
BUT, remember, Russia and Ukraine are still very poor countries. Girls go to expat clubs every night and take a foreign man home for $50-100 sex, and that's the high end in the big cities. In the small poorer cities these predatorial men troll for young girls for as little as $10.
Also, in Kiev, Moscow, and Peter, lots of nightclubs are installing poles and having "striptease show" nightly, that can be a possibility.
So, stay in one of the big cities, and stay near tourist traps in the city center. Most russians/ukis aren't going to have that much disposable income. The ones who do probably condust business in city center anyway. Let me know if you have any more questions, my mom lives in Moscow so I am in russia more than I am in Ukraine (havn't been there in 3-4 years)
Do you speak Russian fluently, or Ukrainian? Because everything official in Ukraine is all now written in Uki, and I can't speak it, doh!
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
Gary,
I'm suprised you didn't tell Meaa to stay away from there. After all, isn't it scary, like Cuba??? ;)
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
Wow, thanks Katrine! I had no idea there were other Ukranians on here other than me. Ok. So, yeah I speak Russian pretty well, exept that I developed an accent - lol - so anyone who hears me speak russian who is a russian themselves is always like was this your first language? Haha
I agree with you that there may not be money to be made, that is my main concern with working there. If you can buy a litre of homemade vodka for the equivalent of 80 cents then yeah.....
Have you ever been inside one of these clubs? Is it lap dancing or stage or both? Maybe you have a friend back home who can make a visit to a club and come back with a report? I have no family or friends there.. So I can't really do that
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
I don't think Gary likes me too much because I refuse to work at his club haha (or maybe some other reason)

I also speak with an accent. People know I'm not a local, but they can't figure out where I'm from. One guy thought I was from Spain for instance. Perhaps my knowledge of spanish has impacted my accent?
I think that there is lapdancing at the Rhino (Moscow), and probably extras available of course. The club I was at in Peter had a pole in the middle of the stage and only did a show at midnight. It was also a restaurant and had live bands so I don't think lapdancing.
I accidently walked into the back of the Rhino and wanted to go in so badly but I was with my mom, doh!
Check out http://www.exile.ru/. The Exile is the "hip" english language newspaper in Moscow and they always have info about the party scene in
Moscow including listing how easy it is to get laid in various bars/clubs and what it costs on average. Yup!
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
I dont dislike you Meea,Not at all I feel that you are a very beautiful girl and any club would desire you to work for them,That being said it seems that you are all over the place and dont know what you are looking for,I do wish you would give Seductions another try but I dont want you to do something your not comfortable doing. The last time we spoke you changed gears and where looking to work in japan and then the next day you wanted to bring your cats. The laws in each Country are different and some sacrifices will have to be made especially if you wont pay for your airfare. You cannot go to a Country on somebody else dime and demand things you will have to do it there way or pay the for the airfare yourself and then you can move around or work at your own pace. Since most of your posts are about Clubs mostly in the GTA and you dont have a valid dancer license it seems to lean towards sneaky. This is just my opinion but maybe your search has been done in the wrong fashion.Try a club for at least a week maybe you will build Clientele and then you would not have to go all over Ontario looking for that perfect Club but if you do, please let the forum know where it is. Seductions has changed alot since the last time you were here, and business is actually good when you compare it to most of the other Clubs in the GTA with the Exception of the two highly visited Clubs on Yonge street with as many dancers as they do Customers. Each area of Ontario is different and that is something you cannot change,so to compare one area club to another area club is not fair! I hope you do find your shrangrala one day maybe its in your home country!

Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
Gary,
Any dancer who knows she is worth good value will jump around to multiple clubs and locations until she finds her best fit. Building up regular clientele isn't necessarily what this industry is about. If business is bad for me in Texas one week, I can jump onto a plane to New Orleans or Vegas and work the same night. With the shortness of our career span, we have that option for a while.
Most of the successful dancers I know don't have regulars; some do of course. But don't use her search as another plug for your club. You keep saying its getting better everytime. I just can't really believe management over what girls who have been there actually say, know what I mean man?
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
BTW, I wouldn't mind heading back over to Kiev Meea, I hear things are getting better over there and wouldn't mind seeing my uncle. My dad says he never wants to go back there ever. Which city are you from? Are you planning on being in Kiev? I might be interested, but you need a VISA to go over there, and you get a VISA from an invitation. I know US based agencies who have done it for me in the past for Rus and Ukr.
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
Hi Kat and Meea
I was born in Kiev also( I think Kat already new that)
I kept my Ukranian passport when I left Kiev(they are good for 10 years), and got a stamp some years later when I wanted to go back for a visit from the Ukranian Embassy that stated I had been born there and had the right to return without getting a new visa each time, and I didnt have to buy their health insurance each time I returned to UKr. I did of course carry western health and travel Insurance.!! I still have relatives their but I havent had to get an invitation letter.
As for dancing there I cant imagine that it would be very profitable, and what do you do if you have a problem with a manager or 'Roof", its little point going to the cops! especially if you are there working illegally.
btw thanks for the link to exile Kat its interesting reading. and points out that extras are pretty much expected in many but maybe not all russian clubs.
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
I wouldnt mind going back for a visit also, but I dont think its likely to happen until atleast late this year, New Years in Kiev is a great time to visit I think.
and yes I am told I have an accent to my Russian when I speak now also lol
Meea what did u hear back from the clubs??
PM me sometime u 2 ;-)
paka
Nicole(edit for spelling)
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
WOW! My heritage is Ukranian too! I had no idea there were so many Ukis here!
I wish I could go with you. I am American born, but would love to make a return trip to Russia and/or the Ukraine (my first, last and only trip there was in 1991). I'd just go there to visit though, not necessarily to dance. Wouldn't mind exploring more of my heritage.
LOL Katrine, I remeber reading one of your posts and you mentioned you had an exotic face. So do I LOL...customers cannot guess where I am from unless I tell them. I guess we Ukis are known for our lovely exotic looks :).
Anyhow, best of luck trying to find a travel buddy Meea. I wish I could go!!!
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
Meea, there are plenty of stripsclubs in Moscow and more in Ukraine all the time. I know plenty of girls that make good money by Russian standards here in Moscow, but be warned most clubs will only employ girls that provide full service to customers. And if you're lucky enough to be employed otherwise there will be a lot of pressure to provide full service. It's routine for the girls to sleep with their bosses and their friends, and there's a high turnover rate, which the bosses like and use to manipulate the girls. The sheer number of dancers here is amazing, and the competition is very strong. If you are flexible I recommend english teaching, it's easier it pays better and with your skills you'd have plenty of work. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear.
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
I have to say, there are at least 15 Uki/Russians at my club and they are some of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen! How'd you guys get so lucky?

Thanx, Toby! I've been looking for feedback mainly from someone who has been there physically.. From your post I deduct that you live in Moscow?
Upon Katrine's advice, I have reasearched the issue further and decided that working in the Ukraine/Russia isn't the best idea. Oh well, at least now I know, instead of wondering what could have been.
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
Agreed. Thanks for starting the thread Meaa, its been an interesting discussion!
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
This is great!Meea,I'm from Moscow, and I go back there about twice a year, next time in june, for 3-4 weeks.I used to work in one club downtown,it was a beautiful place, but I didn't dance there, worked as a hostess, since they needed somebody with fluent english. That was in '99.Back then there were way too many girls, not enough guys, and the prices for everything were outrageous. The cover was about $75,for which you don't get anything else, but a magazine. All the clubs in Moscow at least have a thing called "the crazy menu",where they list all the services available and the prices. Some things were really weird, like to smack a dancer on her backside, would be $20.Or turn off the lights in the whole club for 10 min for $10,000.But...that was a few years ago.I honestly don't know how the money is there now,and what you have to do for it,but I would be very careful about trying to work there.Oh,another thing I did was dance in a casino, where they paid for 3 shows (3 songs each) a night, but the place got raided later and shut down, with dancers still wearing their costumes taken into police stations.
Anyways,I'm going back in June, and out of curiosity will check some places out.The best one, still is probably Dolls,on Krasnaya Presnya.I can still tell you a lot more info.

Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
Interesting to know from an insider. Those clubs seems very high end ! But maybe too dangerous.
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
what the....... I can see that Thorn posted something but I can't see the post.. Oh well..
I guess it could've been anything, like a chin-stroker, or a laugh, or an eye-roll, or a head-nod... I guess we'll never, ever, ever know... :(
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
Hey sweety good luck to you if you end up going to Ukr/Russia!
I am Australian born but both my parents are from Ukraine (Odessa) my ex boyfriend was in moscow recently and he went to a stip club and told me there was 100's of stunning girls, I dont doubt it, every guy who has been there told me it was like models day out every day... I was thinking of going last year but well, you know I would rather stay here now.. much less competition. Plus I tell all the Aussie guys I am russian and they LOVE it hehehee
Re: Russia/Ukraine - anyone interested?
The girls out there, even on the street are just amazing. Its scary how many tall, beautiful, model-like girls are just walking around down Tverskaya in Moscow or Khrishatik in Kiev.
My brother asked me to walk a few feet away from him so that the girls wouldn't think we were related and he could "hit" on them. Funny thing, russians don't "holla" in the same way as done in Texas!
I guess its all of the Chernobyl fallout, but my countries are full of these beautiful genetically-perfect looking mutant women!!!! :)
Although we have lovely girls here in Texas, even girls who do extras in the clubs, I am much more comfortable with the strip-club culture here. I worked in Western Europe and it wasn't particularly profitable.
