working in a strip club vs. doing bachelor parties?
hi. this question is for the ladies who have worked bachelor parties and strip clubs. i'm in atlanta & i have only worked in strip clubs for almost 2 years. i've been at my club for over a year. want to try something new (besides switching clubs- dont want to pay for that permit!) i've thought about doing bachelor parties. i've never done them before- except when one comes in to my work- they often choose me to do it. i plan to sign up with an agency and go along with a few girls for the first one i do to help me get comfortable (a girl i worked with works for an agency she loves- very safe and reliable)
what are the pros and cons of doing bachelor parties compared to working in a strip club?
would you prefer a strip club or bachelor party? why?
how are bachelor parties different from strip clubs?
Re: working in a strip club vs. doing bachelor parties?
I preferred working bachelor parties for many a reason, first being that I have a guarenteed $125 just for showing up, and after the first hour, if they ain't tippin' I ain't strippin' and I pack up and go. I made a clean $700 for three hours entertainment one night. There are no other girls to compete with for men or attention, no tobacco smoke (not a lot at least) and no cops ready to drag you to the clink if you dare lift your heel off the ground. Men slip quite a bit o cash into your garter for the pleasure of licking whipped cream off your butt-cheek.
Now be forewarned. Boys will be boys. And in large groups with lots of alcohol, boys will be beasts. You will be solicited for prostitution. What you do with that is up to you. But if it's not your thing, take a bouncer. Always, always. If not, you can wind up in the situation I landed in. Nurse Betty vs. twenty-five rowdy, intoxicated bikers. Avoiding gang-rape got tricky in a couple of places. The clientele will bring cameras. The clientele will ask how much you charge to let them put it in. You are the only source of entertainment, so people skills (and crowd control) are essential. In bachelor parties, the inmates are running the asylum, so don't live too dangerously. And have fun! Bring lots of games (a can of whipped cream and some baby oil go a long way.) Most of the times, I've had a blast.
Kisses!
Nurse Betty

Betty is correct that doing privates is very risky in terms of being raped. Personaly I would not recommend working outside the clubs, even with a bouncer as he can be paid to turn a blind eye or otherwise eliminated by other means such as GHB for example.

As Betty points out, moving outside of the 'controlled' environment inside a club in favor of a 'private' location brings with it exposure to all sorts of additional risks. This is true in the case of bachelor parties, escorting, 'private sessions' etc. You can mitigate/limit those risks by supplying your own security people, but this of course must be paid for out of your 'end', which generally makes the net earnings potential from bachelor parties fairly disappointing in proportion to the actual amount of work/contact involved. You can of course elect to do bachelor parties without incurring these 'expenses', but you're then placing yourself in the very vulnerable position of being naked and alone in a room full of drunk guys, with nobody there to intervene if the situation gets out of hand, and nobody to hold accountable if something 'untoward' should happen to you (i.e. gang-rape, assault etc. - it's your word against the word of 25 guys who don't work in the 'sex' industry).
You could of course also work for a bachelor party 'service' which would take care of the customer relations, financial transactions, and security, but this would mean not only giving up a major 'piece' of the bachelor party fee to the service but also receiving a 1099-MISC IRS form for the money the service pays out to you (which in turn forces you to report and pay taxes on that income).
Re: working in a strip club vs. doing bachelor parties?
I did bachelor parties for a long time, but I don't care for them any more. They used to be a lot of fun, but the last few I worked were just awful. They guys felt they had already paid for my presence there; therefore did not need to tip. The girl I was partnered with was doing BJ in the bathroom--what did they need me for? THe agency booked these huge pacakges of 6 girls in various jobs (lingerie models, topless waitresses, strippers, etc) so the guys ran through their cash rather quickly, and got bored quickly, too. They were in a private house, so felt rules did not apply (It's OK to fuck everybody here--WE won't tell!) ANd a private home does not have an ATM!
THe other problem with private parties, IMO, is that you have the same bunch of guys for most of the evening. If you have a good bunch of guys, rock on! OTOH, if you get Cheap Charlie and his cheap buddies, you are in for a LOOOOONG, boring, broke evening!
Re: working in a strip club vs. doing bachelor parties?
i have few few friends who would come along. one does security for celebrities and is a private investigator. most of them own guns, carry them and are big guys. tougher than my bouncers at work. i know, doesnt mean stuff wont happen.
as far as the agency im considering, they dont advertise as just bachelor parties. they do celebrity impersonators, singing telegrams, wedding bands, etc. they offer strip-o-grams and the parties are not girl on girl shows. you just dance for them. no toys shows, etc. doesnt mean stuff wont happen, but they dont advertise the parties as wild orgies. the parties are more themed and burlesque-style.
Re: working in a strip club vs. doing bachelor parties?
I would do bachelor parties but, uh, people take pictures and I don't feel comfortable with my image out there.
Re: working in a strip club vs. doing bachelor parties?
The thing about doing parties is that you have to be comfortable being the center of attention for an hour or more; it's definitely more lucrative by the hour, though. I only did them as a sideline and never as my main source of income; I don't know if there is enough business in most markets to keep you busy all year round. I never had a problem with rowdy guys, but then I always took a guy with me. And I did some pretty large parties, some fraternity ones with 200+ people there. I think they can be fun, it's just a lot more about playing to the crowd than the one-on-one interaction that prevails in the club.
Re: working in a strip club vs. doing bachelor parties?
I work for a company - meaning that i only do private parties. the first time i worked they sent me along with a few girls to a party to train/observe/maybe join in. it was good, i had never done anything liek that before but i got comfortable and it was actually fun. it was a birthday party i think, and for the first night we all only worked an hour, well me half an hr cuz i was observing for the first half, and i made about 250 for having worked half an hour.
i've never worked at a strip club before but the pros of doing this is that u actually do very litle work for a lot of money, but its really hit or miss. some parties are awful and guys just wont tip or buy lapdances, but some parties are unbelievable and i've heard girls at our company have made 1000-1500 a night from one party. and it is high contact, which can be uncomfortable for a lot of people. the difference between good/bad nights at doing this is probably a lot more drastic than good/bad nights in strip clubs. you just never know what kind of crowd you're gonna get. i've never felt unsafe, our bouncers are always right there. the only thing is that its been kidn of slow cuz its the wintertime - but wedding season is coming up so thats all im looking forward to. so far it's just been birthday parties, a few bachelor parties, just guys looking to get some strippers at their parties etc. i hope i helped!
Re: working in a strip club vs. doing bachelor parties?
arrggghhhhh......
I started out doing pvt parties, mainly cuz I was underage. Ain't THAT a combination for ya????.... Looking back on it, it's worse than drunk driving. Truly stupid. If I went back to that, it would ONLY be thru an agency with a bodyguard/driver. Period.
