Why do Japanese men on business in the US and speak very little English always keep their hands to themselves? Their hands are at their sides the entire dance. I appreciate it, but I don't get it. Are they afraid of the law?

Hmmmm, we must be dancing for different Japanese men. Some touch, some do not. But I think the ones that do not touch are that way out of their culturally ingrained politeness. It would be rude to touch a person without their permission and perhaps they might not know the best way to ask. I wish our culture had a bit more of that........
I love dancing for Japanese men - they're so polite and courteous.
yep id say thats it.Quote:

The first time I danced for one of those particular Japanese men we went into VIP. I was doing my thing (touching him- but nothing bad, just normal stuff like touching his legs arms and chest) and during the 2nd song I grabbed his knee and he came- hardcore came with noises and all. I guess you could say he was polite though because he never tried once to touch me and he didn't talk dirty or anything, but let me tell you that was groooooss!
The Japanese men in my area only buy from blondes. I'm brunette, so I've never danced for one, even though I've asked several. Is it the same in your area? They don't even usually tip brunettes.
Wow. All the Japanese guys (the ones here on business, from Japan...not Japanese-Candians) I've ever danced for have propositioned me for sex, or made lewd blow-job motions with thier hands. I try to avoid them
Asian men,not just Japanese men like blondes because they are exotic to them.Just like American men like Asian women for the same reason.
I am not sure exactly how it translates into strip club behavior, but as a general rule, Japanese culture is much more concerned with "situational protocols" and what psychologists call "social scripts" than Western culture. These are the (usually unwritten) rules and patterns that tell us how to behave in various situations. A Japanese person will typically feel much more embasrassed or humiliated by being perceived to behave improperly than a typical Westerner. However, being drunk...or even having drunk enough to possibly be drunk...is considered a much more acceptable and valid excuse for improper behavior in Japan than it is in the West.
Just for example, a Japanese employee is typically expected to treat his/her supervisor with a level of defference and respect that seems almost absurd and ridiculous to Western eyes, but after even 2 or 3 beers, it is considered acceptable for this same employee to "tell off" his/her boss in very blunt and rude ways...with no consequences at all. Afterwards everyone pretends it never happened or that they can't remember it.

Wow! Where are these well behaved Japanese men (from Japan)? I always had the grabby ones, but then I have really fair skin and blonde hair, so I looked exotic to alot of foreign guys. Most of the time it was a bad experience for me looking exotic to foreign guys. They would try to get too aggressive. It seemed to be the norm for fair skinned blondes to get more treatment like that in Vegas from guys from different countries.
This thread cracked me up. Japanese tourists on Guam would not even look at me when I walked around Tumon Bay in Guam because they thought I was "dirty" or something (brown skinned brunette). And I can't go to the local sushi shop anymore, for having mortified the owner with my silly behavior while dining there.
No hate though.....two of my favorite guy friends are third generation Japanese-American hotties.
Japanese men I have encountered are just very polite and respectful. I think it is the cultural difference in how children are raised, wish more people could be like that sometimes.
This has been my experience as well. A very nice experience I might add. As they say if it "ain't" broke don't fix it ;DQuote:
