Re: Out of Town Strippers
A lot of the girls at the club I work at dislike girls who just come to our are and dance every now and then... a weekend here, then gone for months, then come back... but girls who commute from an hour or more away and STAY at our club and want to actually work hard at our club... no one seems to mind.
Re: Out of Town Strippers
I just wouldn't broadcast that you are only there for a short time. Whenever I travel I say that I am thinking of moving that area (which, you never know, right?) Dancers never minded me then, I was just another new girl that didn't stay.
Re: Out of Town Strippers
Wow, May I ask why you would'nt like a girl from out of town cause i never heard of this.
Re: Out of Town Strippers
I love out-of-towners - provided they're not being dirty - because they always bring something new to the table, like a new move, and new way of hustling, a new look. It doesn't bother me whether they're there for a night, a week, or permanently.
Re: Out of Town Strippers
I never cared about the out of town girls, but the other girls at my club did, I think they felt very territorial. They didn't like the girls that would just come in for a weekend here and there, but the few girls that made it down every weekend they liked.
I don't plan on advertising but it's hard not to say I'm not from here.

Re: Out of Town Strippers
Well, when I travel next month......I will NOT be adverstising that I am passing through. Instead, I will say that I just relocated. I think the consensus at most clubs I have danced at is anti new girl, whether she is passing through or hanging around for awhile.
Re: Out of Town Strippers
I had one customer that said "I don't tip the girls that are just passing through" but that was it. Otherwise, I've never noticed anything like that, and I usually say something like "I'm not from around here."

I also see them as a new source of information about the scene and other clubs elsewhere. I have received some very good information this way.
I personally havn't really had a problem with other dancers too much. I usually am able to find a few dancers in each club I "breeze through" who connect with me whilst I am there (and therefore will assist me).

I just stay quiet yet be polite
Re: Out of Town Strippers
Some places you will get some attitude from the local girls; in others, not so much--especially if you're somewhere where a lot of dancers come through and turnover is relatively high. Basically, the larger the club, the less they'll care. Say whatever you want to say; I think probably girls who are going to be hostile will be equally so whether you are "relocating new" or "transient new."
BTW the most recent club I traveled to was very hospitable and the girls were very friendly towards newcomers--I think there were three or four new hires in the week I was there. Do you know what this means? That there is enough money and fun in that club to keep everyone happy.
Re: Out of Town Strippers
I think that pretty much any club you go to there will be some girls who don't like new girls and others who couldn't care less. I just moved to Phoenix and have danced at a few clubs and I haven't had anyone be overtly rude to me. I would suggest just taking a few minutes to look around when you arrive and check out how the dances are, because giving a dirty dance (the definition of which varies from club to club...) is the quickest way to piss off other dancers. Just show up and do your job and you'll be fine. Besides, you're not there to make friends you're there to make money. It's nice to get to know the girls you work with but if you're only there for a short time I would just focus on that. The club I work at is really cool, and the girls are pretty laid back. Do you know where you are going to work?
Re: Out of Town Strippers
I'm not sure yet, I definitely want to check out PT's, HiLiter, Bourbon Street, Le Girls, Body Shop, Skin, Christie's. Since you dance in Phoenix, where do you work at and which clubs up there do you prefer?
How is tip out at your club? And other clubs you've been too?
