new to dancing...questions!questions!
hi all!
i just got hired at a club in washington, d.c. but it was really hard. thanks to what i read here, i was equipped with a lot of information on how to conduct myself and "just do it". i will not name names of clubs and people i talked to, but i have a few things on my mind.
the whole process of auditioning and getting the courage was mind blowing. it was really hard, and i have a newfound respect for adult entertainers.
just a description of myself as i feel it is pertinent to what i am saying: i am 5'1", 115lbs, semi athletic/semi curvy build, unstraightened hair, young looking face.
there are a few things that i noticed though. i am a dark skinned female and i felt like it was harder to get the management's attention to see about an audition, although when i entered several clubs to just inspect the environments there, i turned several customers' heads. one club i had to go to three times and i still couldn't get them to take me seriously. i know washington has a very large african american demographic, so i know there were many "black" clubs i could go to, but i was not pleased with some of the environments, dancer interaction amongst themselves and/or the customers. in other words, i did not feel safe.
also, i want to be a "successful" dancer and be very gainfully employed. the clubs here are nude, no contact, but i dont think there are clubs here where they offer lapdances. what should i be doing to make myself more marketable, more sexy, etc. etc. i am generally introverted, but have the ability to talk my way out of a steel vault if i have to.
any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, etc are greatly appreciated. thank you all for helping me as much as you have already.
