If you could change one thing about your club what would it be ...and why?
They need to start getting the floormen to carry the dance pedistals for us.Those things weigh like 50 lbs. and after doing 30 dances,it becomes a real work out.
dance pedastals?
I dont think Ive ever seen one?
In New Orleans,we do pedistal dances, not lapdances. It is illegal to be topless and have your feet touch the main floor.VIP is different though. You can dance on the floor up there.
I would have my bouncers be more consistant. They tend to play by individual girls' rules, and I would rather have the same contact allowed by all... (One-way, obviously!)
The carpeting (and my wish came true...they are remodeling. woo hoo!)
I want a fan that blows on the stage. It would be so nice to not sweat my ass off while up there!
the darn football player looking, x stripper made manager of my club!
It's a chick!!!!

Only one thing ? DARN!
For me it is a toss up between converting the "Lounge Bar" area into an area that has two low set tables for dancers to dance upon ..... thereby giving everyone another option if they aren't "into" lap dances however want a dance from someone... table dances (no touching of course) or introducing 'club dollars' in $1 or $2 denominations.
Since my first 'wish' will never ever come true unless I buy out the club ( ) I will have to go with my second wish --- introduce 'club dollars'.
I say this because the lowest money in AUD is $5 and the 'club dollars' will encourage stage tipping more than what is currently happening. Plus since it is 'fake' money, they will spend them more easily... and if they are spending.. then that will translate into a better 'atmosphere' overall in a way.
This is definitely true. Hell, I couldn't believe that there were strip clubs in Australia that didn't have 'club dollars'. It's a ubiquitous convention down here, and while it might not add a huge amount to any given girl's earning over the night, it's a nice touch as it gives the 'feel' of people spending money - which is what you want, of course.Quote:

If they only sell, say, 50 $20-rolls a week, and the club redeems them from the girls at a 50c/dollar basis, then that's an extra $500/week in the club's pocket. Not much, but it adds up and it makes a case that appeals to management. The guys who want to get more attention will still tip the bigger bills. You need to rely on the wait staff to push them, though.
(All numbers on sales/redemption rates are pulled out of my hat and have no basis whatsoever in fact, although I do know that the club gets a cut on the club dollars - I just can't remember what it is)(I can find out easily enough, if you want)
More guys with money coming in, lol!
Hey, I'm working on it, but I just started there...
Seriously, though, I would say less dancers who insist on R & B and Hip Hop, and throw a fit if they can't have it, or barely dance and act like it's an ordeal if they don't get it. This is something I have run into in other clubs--like all of them, lol--but it seems to be worse at my present club, and it was when I worked there a few years back as well.
Hell, I didn't make the rules, but I would still refuse to play hip-hop all night in this club, because the customers don't want to hear it, except on some parts of some nights. I'm all about playing the best music for each dancer, as anyone who has known me for a while will tell you, but not if the guys are running out the door when I do, lol.
Grrr, at my club we have to do "finale" after every set. All of the girls working have to go onstage for one song after each rotation, which works out to be after every third song. It really cuts into conversation and dance time. The only bonus I can see is that it motivates me to get to the VIP room because then I can skip it.
#1- No house fees, rent, dance commissions, stage fees or whatever you want to call it - ever! Let the bar earn money by bringing in spending customers,
not off of their dancers. Hell, they are still getting free live entertainment 7 days a week. How many non strip bars have free entertainment even 3 nights a week? You even have to pay the person who runs the Karaoke machine!
#2- Don't try to jam as many girls into the club as possible. This goes back to #1. However management tends to hire any warm body that is willing to get naked on stage so they can advertize that they have X number of girls. What's the point in having 30 dancers working in a club that rarely has that many customers at one time? The customers get harassed, the girls get surly because there is nothing to do but complain about not making any money, drama gets out of control, and the only people who actually enjoy this situation is management and staff that get a minimum mandatory tip out.
These are general things I would like to change. I don't mean that my club is robbing me, and frankly I don't stay at clubs that have too many girls and no customers. My time is valuable and I won't waste my time in a club like that. I like the club I am currently working at. House fees are low, and the schedule has balanced dancer/customer ratio. I feel like I earn pretty good money for an air dance club. Of course the higher the contact, the higher the dancer earnings.
I agree with Paris, I don't think that clubs should have house fees. That is my biggest complaint.
I kind of wish that we would have bouncers patrolling the floor. In most Texas clubs, the floorguys just hang out talking to the customers and being reactive, not proactive. This leads to the high contact levels. Guys simply CAN get away with almost anything because no one is monitoring them!!!
Advertise. Billboards on the highways and interstates. Some of the smaller town clubs I book at aren't aggressive enough in trying to increase business.
Some clubs I work at (smaller ones) have installed the newer high tech jukeboxes that we have to feed dollars in, or if we want to play certain songs, pay extra to download them off the jukebox. The crowd needs a pushy DJ to force the guys to spend money, and without him it slows down our tips and dances. I like dancing to my own CD's.
I wish more of the big city nicer clubs would have the DJ's push the guys harder to spend money, and use different marketing techniques when the crowd is young to help us sell dances.
Also the city clubs need to be more flexible in hiring and not discriminate against dancers of color.
Whaaaa?!! How big is this thing? Do you take your heels off, or can you balance just fine? This doesn't sound appealing to me. I wear 7 1/2 inch heels!Quote:

You can give contact to the guys in NO. You can sit on the pedestool, or be on your knees, and even grind and do body slides. If a manager sees that you have a foot off the pedestool they will say something but its not a huge deal. I would sometimes take my feet off the stool too, just out of habit , but you'll catch on. The dances are NOT airdances by any means though although you do that that option.......
I wish my club had a more private V.I.P. room... I went from selling 3 a night to zero ... we just have a room with a 1/2 wall and the same chairs. It isn't exclusive, more comfortable, nor does it offer better treatement or service form the help....... a waste of space in a crowded club if you ask me!
