change there or wear sweats over your clothes. Also never wear tight clothes as they leave marks on your skin.
I generally always wear my warmups when I get to work.
And driving in the heels has gotta be a biotch.;)
Actually, it would be dangerous, and possibly illegal to drive in stripper heels. There is no way you can feel the full weight you are imposing upon the pedals in 6 " heels.
Why would you wear a sexy revealing outfit in the car, walking through the parking lot, etc. That's setting yourself up for trouble. Bring a bag with a lock on it, and change there!
I wear warmups, tennis shoes or sandals and its usually pretty loose fitting.
Change at the club. Or at least wear something casual over your outfit. A couple of times (a long time ago) I felt tired and lazy and went to, or left work in my dance clothes. The negative attention was not worth the effort I saved by not changing first, it's just dangerous. Good luck to you.
Definitely change. You don't want to attract that much attention from guys outside the club, you're not getting paid for it after all! :)
ALWAYS change when you get there. You don't want people to confuse you for a hooker.
Just bum it until you get there and get dressed when there
when you wear your outfit in public you are basically announcing to theives that you have cash on you.
I think it is best to be dressed like your going out nightclubbing when you walk into the club (unless you enter a back or side door where no customers see you) because customers do see us when we enter the club and you can rarely ever make a 2nd first impression.
It's my theory that it's best to have them interested even before you hit the floor in your work clothes.
I have had customers tell me a number of times that the spotted me arriving for work and wanted a dance based on nothing more than how cute/sexy/hot I looked coming in the door. They figure if I look like that before even getting ready then.... wow !
You can never advertise too early for potential dances !
:twocents:
I dress comfortably, especially since I drive an hour away. We are supposed to be there before the club opens so that gives us time to get dressed before people arrive. I have been caught a few times by custys, but they don't mind at at all how I look before I get changed.
The elevator is right by the front entrance of my club so you can avoid being seen if you're bumming it.Quote:

Sexy but understated works well for me. I try to save the booty pants and 8" minis for when I'm actually inside. ;DQuote:

I do not recommend going to the club looking shabby, though. A dancer should be nicely dressed when going to work as customers many times see you as you arrive and leave. A dancer with no makeup on, hair in a bun, and flip flops or dirty tennis shoes on is a turn off to guys.
As a customer, wouldn't you be turned off if you see a sloppily dressed dancer walking in or out?
I feel a dancer should have her hair down and styled, makeup on, and at least be wearing jeans and a blouse which are ironed, along with street heels, when showing up for work.
Guys have bought dances from me just because of how nice I looked and was dressed when I walked in the club. Hello Kitty is right on the money.
We as dancers are supposed to be attractive well kept women. Notice how well dressed and nice most women who shop at higher end malls and downtown areas look? As dancers we are expected to be high maintenance women too, right?
Never assume people don't see you. Look nice when you go in, but put the stripper clothes on when you get there. ;)
You've got to look trendy and sexy without being too outrageous. I usually wear stuff I'd wear to a trendy bar. It's a bit like having an entree before the main course! :)
I'd leave the 8" miniskirt and the 6" heels for when I'm actually inside the club though.;D
I have a friend who used to ride the bus home from work in New Orleans and she still looked made up and all (lots of eye makeup, etc.) even in her street clothes and sometimes guys would follow her.
i totally agree with Tina and hello kitty. this is how i come to work.. not always heels though.i live in fl and cute dresses and sandals most of the time for me.
I can see where you're coming from about the 1st impression thing, but then again, the atmosphere is so different in the club than outside, I wouldn't think many guys would have a problem with the transition from reality ( outside the club) to fantasy ( inside the club). ALSO, the first thing I thought of, was, what if you had car troubles?! Gah, I'd hate to be on the side of the road in 6 inch heels and a thong.
