Glad to see you're not carrying the burden of the 'men' you see at work every night into the general public.. no ma'am.. not one bit.
Non-consensual sex is a violation of one's boundries- no matter what device one has downstairs in their underwear. If men have a societally programmed advantage to 'play off' said violation is another story, but it's a violation nonetheless.
If it had been a woman sleeping over at a couple/friend's house and she awoke to some 'perv' playing around downstairs, it would be a no brainer. Suddenly having a pussy attaches value? Nah, this isn't a stripper stereotypical standpoint one bit, is it? I hope those of you that don't see this enjoy working for lowered wage based on gender, having less opportunities, and also enjoyed the fight it took to award women the right to vote. Clogging one's brain's with double-standards is the reasoning. The door needs to swing both ways and it starts at home.
Re: Woman Convicted of Raping A Man
I don't believe in double standards either.I think they are hypocritical. My opinion is;anyone can be a victim to anything at anytime. The way men in this country think "that could never happen to me" or "not in a million years".The people in this country have this invicibility mentality.Sh*t can happen to anyone.
EDITTED TO ADD: My first two posts on the subject matter was to poke fun at the typical American male mentality.
Re: Woman Convicted of Raping A Man
Dare I say: Sauce for the goose; sauce for the gander.
If I was awakened to somebody making a sexual advance on me who was not Lady Z, it would be an unwelcome, unwanted, and nonconsensual sex act perpetrated on me. I would not report it. I would make my feelings known in some way appropriate to the situation. If that makes me an unmacho wuss, so be it. I can handle myself, usually, and I have limits, along with a certain respect for others and some self-respect, believe it or not.

Then you really don't know men as well as you think you do.

Jamming a wooden pole up a guy's ass while he's tied up would be different. This woman was blowing him. What's the solution? "Um...no thanks."
It wasn't all that invasive. I'm not impressed. And before you ask, yes it would be completely wrong for a man to do that to a woman. The reasons are outlined in my original post.

I think that it's high time we re-examine our social definitions of rape, and that more abused PEOPLE come forward. Rape is not funny, it's not a joke and 8 years later I still cry about what happened to me. So for those of you who think it's hilarious...imagine that you had to carry a burden like being raped...
I feel for you and your situation. I swear, if my child did this, I would disown him.
That aside - I cannot agree with the whole "treat everyone the same" theory. There are fundamental differences. Some in the female favor...some in the male. Men and women think differently in many areas, and this is one of them. We are not all the same, and if we were, then we could all evolve into being sexless beings. yawn.
Again - he woke up to having his dick sucked. Big...fucking...deal.
EDIT
I agree with OTB - WUSS!!!

I'm no longer commenting on this thread...no one is getting the point anyway. :(

There are biological differences. Alot of what we believe otherwise was put in our heads because men are physically stronger, and it is based on a control game. It's not that we would evolve into sexless beings, we would be EQUAL.
Some men, such as jay zeno and polecat, do not want to wake up having their dick sucked by a stranger, or an aquaintance if it is not consensual. It is a big deal. It is a violation of personal space, at the very least. And some men also consider it cheating on their spouses.

There is no difference. An act against one is the same as an act against another. The reasons behind such an act are insignificant, as are the way either of them feel about it.
Re: Woman Convicted of Raping A Man
thanks ET. Thant's what I feel too, I just didn't have it in me to say after being so insulted...

Those reasons are unclear to me - care to elaborate?
Re: Woman Convicted of Raping A Man
ET - I understand your points completely.
Heaven - hope it wasn't anything I said that insulted you...if so, it was unintentional.
Deogol - no....I really don't want to elaborate on it anymore :) It seems to be a bit of an intense topic, which I don't mind, but one person has already felt insulted....so I think I'll move on to the next topic :)
