ugh transition from amateurs to "real" dancing
okay so. Just recently I switched from amateur contests to "real" stripper gigs. I did a back-half (last three days of the week) out of town as my first gig and had no problems, it was actually pretty fun. Now this week I am scheduled to do a full week in my city......so far it blows...a lot. Most of the girls seem nice, I'm scheduled to do a few double shows (no contact, three feet apart) with a girl who is nice enough but seems a little cracked out but that's fine and dandy. Next they have a rule where you must do at least one shower show per night, with the exception of friday night where you do a three girl show involving the shower (how this is gonna go down with three of us staying three feet apart in a wee little shower i still don't know) and you must also do a shower show on your own. Now I have never seen, let alone done a shower show and a search on here resulted in nothing but one thread that talked about how dirty the shows were :'(
I am in need of some intense instruction on what to expect in a shower show (as i will be doing one tonight in an effort to not be fined $100 for NOT doing one) and what i will require. I'm also just trying to get used to this club where the dj is the biggest dink in the world. I tried to be nice to him, i came in all chipper and jolly (despite being nervous as all hell) and tried to be nice and conversational with him but all of my attempts were rudely shut down....not only that but he seemed very disinterested in answering any of the important and genuine questions I had (particularly regarding the theme night which i must dress up for tomorrow or else be fined........could be tricky since i don't know the FREAKING THEME!). arg. anyways, i suppose this was just a little bit of a rant.
Re: ugh transition from amateurs to "real" dancing
Hey there lil missy,
It's me... I just wanted to say. As soon as I start, we could do shows together?! Can we pick our partner? I'd rather do it with someone who I know is nice...
Sorry, don't know anything about the shower shows... Thanks for the heads up though.
Luv,
Val
Re: ugh transition from amateurs to "real" dancing
i'm not sure if we could pick or not, the schedule was ready when i got there today so maybe if we asked in advance. i know that there are two girls that do doubles quite often, if you go to red deer their poster is in the dj booth there, i think their names are chanel and lexus.
yeah, i'm glad to provide the heads up on the shower situation. i talked to one of the girls about it and she made it sound like it wasn't a big deal...so we'll see how that goes later on this evening.

Re: ugh transition from amateurs to "real" dancing
Theme night just means dancers all doing theme shows all night instead of generic shows,so your shows don't need to be a certain theme just as long as you are doing a theme,i.e. nurse, genie, western.Hope this makes sense,I'm rushing as I have to get back to my sewing machine!!
Re: ugh transition from amateurs to "real" dancing
oooOOOOoooo. that makes much more sense lol. But the dj said it was tomorrow and the rule list thing says it's wednesday and that dancers and waitresses must dress in the "theme of the week". i have a feeling that it may be beachy...but i'm not sure, i'm still working on it. i will post more when i find out more.
