How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
i'm kinda curious to know, because from what i have observed locally and noticed in postings, it seems like working more than about 3 nights max really starts to create a downward trend in earnings. it really doesn't seem like girls making 600-1k or 2k a shift are working 4-5 nights, or that they'd be as likely to earn it consistently working that many nights. i'd say travelling dancers who do 5-10 shifts in a row are the exception, but a lot of times girls post having an occasional low earnings night or nights even then.
is it possible to work 16-20 shifts a month (assuming a shift of no less than 4 hours) and make 8-10k low end (16-20k high end) after tipouts? i'm starting to wonder, considering the physical strains and increasingly competitive nature of the business. but hey, feel free to disprove my suspicion, i'd love to know if it's possible (without sex-based extras; even taking those into account, many girls at my current club and many other local clubs cannot consistently break 500 a shift after tipouts when working 4-5 shifts a week).

Last wednesday night I made $1200. It is really hit or miss. Not always the same every week. No extras or anything. We're not even allowed to grind.

The less I work the more I make.

I usually work 3 days a week but the one week I worked 5 days I had made around the same at the end of the week because by then I was so sick of it that I wasn't even trying.

I only clear about 5 grand a month and that's fine for me

As for me, I don't really find this to be true. I've had weeks where I'll work all 7 days, and have a really good day EVERY day. (walk w/800+ for 6 hours) Likewise there have also been times where I'll take a weeks break, come back and be happy to make200 bucks.
Those days suck.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
Im soo happy today I was the top earner for the day shift! Watch out!! hehehe
I had to work flippen 7 hrs though. There was nobody in there. Maybe...MAYBE....at the most 4 people in there at one time. I managed to walk w/ a lil over 200. Thank gawd! Anyways, I think if I keep going up in my earnings like I have been and my attitude I should clear over 500. I hope so.
Last time I danced...2 years ago...I barely did 150 most shifts and worked 4 days a week. Im happier I have a better outlook on stripping I dont have to hustle as much as I used to...or now I actually hustle.

Most of the clubs I've worked at have been small neighborhood clubs. Pretty low volume. I've a few nights here and there where I've taken home more than $500 but most nights have been in the $200-$300 range.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
I've found that after about 4 shifts(mine being 8hrs), the money doesnt increase. in 4 shifts, I can clear around $1000 usually. but more shifts only makes me a worse dancer, as im too tired to do any good, therefore, no money.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
I work friday and saturday nights and special promotions and I average 1500-2000 a week.
I think the less I work the more I make because Im more focused and not tired. When I used to work 4-5 nights a week I would get lazy and say well theres always tomorrow etc. Now I put everything into two nights.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
I also fall into the catagory of the less I work the more I make. I have a lot of regulars, and becuase I am a day girl in a town that doesn't see a lot of big spenders, those are where the cash is at. They're all willing to come in and see me on the two days a week I work, but when I was working 3 days a week, they'd be spread out over three days. There's a definitely law of diminishing returns in this area, though I know that may not be true in the larger, more affluent cities.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
There is an economic theory called the Law of Diminishing Returns which explains this exactly.
The top earners (on a nightly basis) are almost always girls that work 3 or fewer shifts per week. They hardly stop. Then there are girls like me that work 6-7 nights per week. I do very well, but I know I get lazy. I take a lot of breaks and wait for regulars or guys that are big spenders.
I tried working less, but I feel huge guilt about taking days off.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
I think it is pretty subjective: location, energy level, mood, time of year, other circumstances...
I've noticed that if I get on a money-making roll I can continue it by going in more than 3-4 days straight - I get like the energizer bunny til the wave dies down or I get tired... If it is just an average week, well, I stick with just a few shifts. Right now my club just changed owners and names so we're kind of a novelty so I'm working almost every night and doing pretty darn good. I'll probably end up doing 25 shifts this month.

In my opinion, you are only able to make this amount of money in that many nights for a short period of time.If you work that much for too long, your burnout rate will occur much faster, thus effecting your earning potential as well.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
I find that dancing full time has brought me a $2K a week earnings. Working part time I go home with half the money per night then full time. I guess it's like oyu have to get a groove going if you're full time, like a good previous night will give you the energy to work hard the next day. And if you take a day break you forget how important it is to be in the "mood"

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
On bookings we all work 6 nights a week and usually I clear after tipouts and with club pay $1300 on a bad week to $2500 on a good one. I only work with 4-6 other girls on average, which is not as stressful as working a big city club with 40+ dancers on the floor. In that type of club you have to be on your toes at all times as the guys have so many dancers to choose from.
You can feel burnt out, but working the clubs I work is like working an office job. You have a schedule and have to work it, so without the flexibility to not show up, you treat dancing like a career and not extra money.
Some nights I know I don't push the guys as hard as I could to buy due to not being in the mood.
Conversely, only working 3-4 nights a week can hurt a dancers bottom line if several of those nights are slow. In a six night week, several good nights can balance out a few nights where a girl only makes $100 or so, and it is possible to still have a good week. If a girl only works 3 nights and two nights are really slow, her money for the week is bad. You never know in this business which nights/days will be better than others.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
I personally can't work more than 4 nights in a row before having (at the very least) a full 24 hours off. I usually work 3-4 nights... I also prefer to work two nights in a row, break, then two more nights if at all possible. When I'm away from home, I can work more as I'm there for a short time and just have that extra motivation (plus I'm not bogged down by my daily 'normal' stresses).....
After taxes and everything I expect to make (min.) $800... usually near $1000. Basically between $800-1000 a week however I have had 'bad' weeks in the past where I worked 3 nights and only took home (after taxes and everything) $600 or something ridiculous.
One time I took home $300!! That's after fees, taxes and so forth... only once tho'.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
this week was the first week i worked more than 2 shifts a week - i worked 4 this week and made about 1100, but i mean there have been nights when i took home 800 just working one night but i dont know if this will hold up or not. hopefully it does.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
This winter/spring I cleared 500+ almost every Fri-Sat night, came close alot and made it some Thu nights and random weekdays. In summer it's harder to clear 500 but I come close and sometimes make it on weekends. I work 5 nights per week most weeks. I am known as a workaholic and a non-stop hustler though...

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
Last week was my first, so I can't talk statistics, but in four nights (doing between 1 and 3 private parties each) I made $1,536.00, after paying my agency $100.00 per hour/per show. That translates to over 6 g's a month if the same continues.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
I make at least $200 a shift after fees and tipouts, and work 3-4 shifts a week at the moment. I guess $200 as a bad day isn't so bad. Tourism in SF is finally picking up (slowly, but surely) again, so it's getting better.

Re: How many dancers clear 500$ or more AFTER tipouts working 4-5 shifts a week?
I like what i read! Seems like alot of ladies are doing very good. The business has slowed, this i know due to laws and such.
I worked South Florida, and made excellent money! I picked shifts that seemed very busy, i.e. weekend late nights, and also week days 6 hour shifts at times.
I had days when i napped in the back room, due to travel back up the coast. Went on again for another 4 hour shift to hit the next crowd of customers. It all worked well for me.
I worked my ass off, killed my feet, and have money to show all my late nights, early mornings, longer shifts at times, and performing friction dances!
I started at 21, and don't miss dancing.
Yes i was a dancer who made over the $500 hustle! Not easy work trying to beat the bigger bucks that came you're way, as i found myself in competetion with myself it seemed, to be better and make more thatn i had the night or week before.
So i incorporated grinding, and some contact dances to increase earnings.
Now i am done dancing, i paid my dues, i made great money, had fun, and quit!
Also starting out as a stage dancer only with a snake was tough, but i still banked!!!
Starting ld's i made more with a stage show.
Pure Platinum was THE club!!!! After that Scores was ok, still do-able but lots of hustle to keep the money flowing you're way. Just my story of a change with the times....
Retired...and proud of it!!
