How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
I haven't broke the $1000 mark yet. Im wondering how it felt when you first broke a grand? Im curious to all of your stories that might have came along with it. ;D Hopefully, I can break it this summer! ;)
Ive only come semi close but that was after 10 hours of work.
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
It was a huge accomplishment for me. When i first started i admired the top dawgs that made close, and over that amount every night! So i strived for that for years and finally did it! Now i'm in the top 3 and i make that and close to or over almost every night i work. It took me years to get there though. great things come to those who wait...or practice;)
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
It felt great!!! I felt like a debutante at my "coming out" party.I felt like I have finally arrived at becoming a real, full blown dancer.
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
my opinion of breaking the $1000 mark is ( i feel like the best bitch in the club ) it is a wounderful accomplishment making 1000 in a day when many other people make that in 2 weeks. but once you get used to it you want MORE. there are 2 days out of my week that i make atleast $1k a night then there are a few nights when i only make 500 or 100 . so when that grand comes be THANKFUL!
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
I had my first $1000 WEEK last week. At least the first one in a LOOOOOOONG time! I will do it agian if I go to work tonight! I admit, it is not as wonderful as having a $1k DAY, but it feels great just the same. And it is a pretty good accomplishment for a small, cheap club.
I have been feeling WONDERFUL about it, because I am busy all night (never bored, I am always working) and when I do my banking on Thursdays and add up what I have made for the week, I feel like "Hell, yeah! Who says you can't have fun and make money at the same time!" I go home tires, but in a good way. I am tired because I have been working hard, and I have a good feeling of accomplishment.
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
I still haven't broken the $1K mark. :( I did come really close one time though, and it felt damn good. I work at a club that just has $20 dances, no VIP room, and plus you have to go on stage a lot, so it's hard to make that much.
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
i broke it on my first night at the club! WHAT A FREAKIN RUSH! i had no idea that kind of money was involved with dancing!
It took me a couple weeks after that to break it again.
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
It feels really nice to make that kind of $$.
The first time I made that much was the first time I worked longer than a 4 hour shift.
So I felt like a total slacker for all those nights I left early or arrived late, knowing it's not hard to make a G, as long as I actually am IN THE CLUB for the required ammount of hours (i.e. 5 or more).
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
i didnt know till i got home and counted my money. i try not to add up my cash during the night, so i constantly think ive made less then i really have ( that way its a nice suprise when i count my cash at the end and find im a hundy up on my guesstimation!)
it was a great feeling, it made me realise i can do it again, and the hard work during the night was worth it. for the next few weeks i had an unfound love for stripping and hussling i never had before!! lol then it got quiet and i slipped back into old habits... naughty :(
break the 2K mark, and thats when you feel like a god damned legend!!!! only done it once, and most of it was a tip from my regular in japan.i know it will never ever happen again, but im stoked to have had that feeling.:) kinda like those lucky buggers who win lotto haha
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
yea.. im waiting to break the 4k mark now before tipout. I dont think its going to happen though! <crosses fingers>
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
it's very difficult to break 2000 in my club unless you have a generous tipper. We make $200 per half hour in the champagne room, so if I'm in here for 5 hours, I can make $2000, but it's very rare....happened once to me
the feeling was surreal....I wanted to tell everybody and nobody at the same time
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
I broke 1K, without any extras or takeout, last year in Houston, out of all places, during Superbowl. I was exhausted because you have to work a looooooong time in Texas to make that kind of money since we don't have time-increment VIP areas. The dance is $20 anywhere in the club unless you can manage to charge them more.......
The best feeling though was rolling around in 10k after the week was over, before I deposited the money. I've never seen so much in my life. If weeks like that happened more I would stay in this industry until I couldn't walk. Alas, its not meant to be.....
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
I hit $1000 after tip outs several times, once in Anchorage AK and most of it came off of a millionaire and his bodyguard. They were giving my friend and I 20's and $100's just to sit with them and do a dance here and there. Another time in a rural club in South Dakota during Pheasant Season, all of it but $100 came off of one guy, and in Houston three of us danced for one fat cat who on a Friday afternoon ran a $3500 tab, and $700 of my $1000 came from him.
That kind of money usually comes off of one or 2 guys in my experience, and not from working the crowd.Or from a wealthy regular who gives you the money on the side for a special occasion like birthdays, Christmas, or Valentines.
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
It's awesome taking home over $1000, but since I've done it more than half my shifts, I feel crappy when I take home $500 or less.
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
I cried! It was my second day of dancing, and I'd made 40 pounds the night before, so I was incredibly happy. That was in London though, pre 9/11. I made over $1000 (converted) every night I worked in london except the first.
Have not come near that since. Vancouver sucks!
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
Heh, Colleen, I hear you! I was so happy last year when I made $1000 working 6 friggin' days. Changed clubs, made $1000 in three days. Another change, bumped that up to 2 days. Most was $700 in 10 hours, to date. From here, who knows? I'd like to break $1k in a night before I quit.
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
If I get there, I'll letcha know! LOL.
But can I throw a party if I break $500?
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
{ Here } is the post I was searching for with my $1000+ story.
The only change is the part I speak about Rockhampton. It has changed up there alot. There isn't so much money in THAT club anymore.
I'm hoping to eventually do the same at my new club. I must admit that I broke the $1000 mark for some modelling work.... and May 23rd I'll finally be able to "see" the results ;D
How did I feel? Like I had got my money's worth with the DancerWealth course. That my investment in going over there was worth it. I had accomplished something that I, before the training, didn't think was possible. Seriously, that is how I felt. It was fantastic. ;D
Havn't broken $2000 in a day as I havn't worked in a club where that is possible.... until now.;)
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
It only happened to me twice.. The first time it was a regular who paid $500 to talk, and some high-rolling horse race better who gave me the rest. Plus that night was payday so I left with like $1200. I was in disbelief. It felt like making that kinda of money WASN'T after all an urban legend. I never thought it was possible. In all of Toronto and it's surrounding areas there are only 4-5 clubs out of like 40 that have any kind of champagne room where they pay you by the hour. The place I worked at only had a $20 - per - dance vip room.
Then one night I was with a regular and he had no money. He asked me if I can run a tab for him and he'll come back with double the money the next day. I knew this guy for a while and he was quite "whipped" so I went for it. His bill was like $400 so I said make it a grand and we're even. He came through, and that was the end of that. I have never made more than even $750 any other time - before or after the two good days.
So the moral of the story is, unless you actually DO make a grand in one night, it seems surreal that anyone can make that. When YOU make it you feel worth it. It's such a morale boost!
Re: How did it feel when you broke the $1000 mark?
I have yet to make that much! the most I've came home with was $700 in one night--but it was all ld's and no champaigne rooms. I didnt count it til i got home. I was pretty happy, but the $ went to two very large credit card bills the very next day-oh well.
