Big Fish in a Little Pond, moving into a Lake
I just got hired at one of the nicer clubs in my area. I worked there years ago--I've worked at all of the top clubs inthe city-- but I feel so out of it that I haven't even gone to get my permit.
I quit dancing for a few years, then when I started again I worked at a couple of slummy clubs. Well the hustle is different, and there was no one in my league (I know I'm pompous). The guys were fairly easy to entertain, but now moving to this new club I'll have to put in some serious work. I'm intimidated!!
Funny thing is I have difficulty getting hired at middle of the road clubs, but none at upper or lower end clubs.
I know I can do it, but I just feel like my hustle is off for the big $$ guys and I'll not be able to make $$$.
Plus I've always hated the back-biting, nastyness from the other employees, scheduling rules and asskissing that usually comes along with a showbar. But the money, the money, oh how I miss the money!!
