To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
I'm thinking about doing a money shower for my ATF's birthday, BUT I am worried that it could potentially mess up the rest of her night as far as tips and other customers buying dances and tipping her. I've read the other older posts on this topic, but I would like more (current) feedback...& if it helps at all. I'm in Illinois and if anyone out there who knows about the clubs in the Chicago area, maybe they can give me a better idea since sometimes it's a regional thing....
Thanks everyone!

Re: To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
Hey Verfolgung-
Thanks for replying to my post. That's correct, I'm a female wanting to do a money shower. I was worried that management would have a problem with it, but I've established my rep as a big tipper early on: from valet parking, the waitress, the coat check person, and of course when I buy dances & I buy drinks for the dancers that I'm sitting with. I've also tipped bouncers if they've helped me out. I guess that would make me a big spender LOL
From my observation, my ATF she's not the top earner(generally the blonds are), but she holds her own. I wonder if it would help her sell more dances because new people to the club will think, aparently she's good or else she (me) wouldn't be dropping that much money at once. I actually got a guy to buy a dance from her. I asked if this is his first time to the club and I went first and he really liked the treatment I got. Of course I told her did he tip good because I would go yell at him if he didn't. She said he did and he came back to the table and thanked me :-)
Nah, I wouldn't be in competition with any guys. I have seen that happen though. Thanks for the happy birthday suggestion & mentioning doing the shower during a busy time ...I'll be sure to do that so maybe the cheapskates at the railing will tip her. It will happen mid august & I'll be sure to do a follow up

Re: To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
I've only seen one female customer give a dancer a money shower, and the guys got the biggest kick out of it. I dunno about your area, though... I love money showers. It doesnt ruin my money at all. And if its her birthday, there should be little that COULD ruin her money.

Re: To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
Seems to wannabe-pimpish to me. Almost like i'm showing off to everyone BUT the dancer. Look, the LAST people i want to show off to are a bunch of sweaty guys. If i'm gonna show off, dammit, i'm gonna have some dignity and show off to the DANCER... just before i ask her for her real name, life history, and telephone number... By the way, how much can i take her home for?
:P

I'm in Chicago! Come to my club and give me a money shower. I get turned on when my skin smells like the crisp smell of green. *drools*

I LOVE money showers. Ask a manager od DJ if they are putting her on stage for h er b-day. Have the DJ announce its her b-day and your money shower will, hopefully be joined by more.
I've never had a money shower cost me money. In fact...the opposite. It makes me look special and in demand and suddenly everyone wants me!

Re: To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
This topic is certainly not dated, but I wouldn't be addressing the OP specifically, considering that she posted this over two and a half years ago. I would hope her ATF has gotten three birthday money showers from her by now.
:)

Lol I saw that... but I still want a money shower. I was addressing pretty much anyone who reads this :)

Re: To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
Old post, but interesting. The one money shower (yes, only one) I have had in my year of dancing was from a female. I remember counting it it was 75 dollars. Pretty cool. It made me feel special and good about myself. As all of us know when you really truly feel confident, you make better money. I remember that being one of my best nights.
Also on the subject of money showers, I hate "sprinkles" It's when some wannabe little pimpster comes up and throws 3 or 4 dollars with all the force in his arm like he's throwing a friggin baseball. The money just kinda flips around and falls right on the ground. Totally stupid, I'd rather just have it tucked in my garter or g-string. If you are going to make it rain, at least have it be enough money for it to work the right way!

Ok... excuse me for being a bit ignorant.... can someone please explain how a money shower works?!

Re: To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
I LOVE money showers. My first ever was from Nina Daisy (And second?). The next one was literally the "$500 in ones" of song and legend. It was pretty crazy. There is no better reference in the world than the whole club seeing someone rain 500 singles on you.

That was a great night. Now when that guy comes in he tips like five bucks. It's rather anti-climactic of him.;D

It's usually just some guy at the tip rail (this is the only thing I miss about working in this set up) who start throwing the money/pushing stacks onto the stage. Some guys do it on all the chicks, some just on their fave. Sometimes the dj will encourage the other custies to get into it.

Yeah people just come up and start throwing stacks of ones in the air while you are on stage. Usually only ghetto people do this to flaunt how much money they have. People with class will just stick a benjamin in my garter. Either way, as long as it's green I'll take it....

Last night some guy started doing this to me.... threw 5 or 8 bills at a time... did it twice while I danced for him. He did seem a bit ghetto, but hey, it was a slow night on stage and for dances/vip/cr... so I wasn't complaining. :D
Cool.

Re: To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
In my club it can go either way.
We have two girls that have a little posse that comes in every few weeks. They get rained on every set. But they also make bank at the table so they don't talk to anyone else. The customers see that they're not moving around the club, and consequently, don't make any money off any one else.
However, girls that have been rained on and are still moving around and being sociable end up making more money. More tips, more dances, etc. Then they are viewed as a hot commodity.
Btw, my b-day is tomorrow but I'm doing the work celebration tonight at work. I've got some ones that I'm giving to a couple of girls to make it rain on me while the dj says it's my birthday. I'm just recycling my own money, but that way the other custies will see it.

Re: To Money Shower or Not to money shower? That's the question...
I've only done it once to my fav. on her birthday....it was about $400-500, whatever they had in the register at the time..
Now everytime I go, the DJ is like money shower? yes no? ...Don't be just tipping $10 at a time...
I don't like it overall - it bring a lot of attention to yourself, and mostly unwanted.
Oh - And im not ghetto.
