Private Parties
I want to start doing private parties in my area, how should I go about doing this? I just moved to FL a cpl months ago.. the area I movede too sucks they have 1 crappy club that charges you 25 to work there then you have a chore at the end of your shift WTF? Anyway I was thinking of renting a hall or something and throwing a party with some other dancers to make a name for myself. I was thinking of passing out business cards w/a voicemail # on them... What do you think?

Re: Private Parties
I dont know if it is legal to do in Florida, but I knew a girl in Chicago who did something similar. First off, they would get flyers made (like what ppl pass out when you leave the dance club) advertising herself, and the other dancers who would be coming. They would make the card look like a "revue".
They would book a room at a nice, classy hotel, a suite. They would go all out too..Champagne, strawberries/chocolate, the whole 9. But....there was a $20 entrance fee to get in. I can't remember if they had a dress code..but I think they may have. Anyway try some things like that. Can you not give out your business card in the club you work at now??

Re: Private Parties
I'm not doing it in a hotel room. Right now i'm looking for either a banquet room at a hotel or hall...

Re: Private Parties
Hmm i'm in Florida and you can do flyers, but i would be very careful hat you put on those flyers. Also, rent a banquet room at a hotel? When the hotel askes you what this is for, what will be you're answer? If you say for a striiping party, i highly doubt they will rent to you, if you are talking An Airport Hilton or the likes.
Small hotels are you're best bet to rent. Have a security person, and have you're party. You have to rent all night, but make the guys/guy leave, and sleep there.
Renting a hall....I dunno as well. Many places that have a hall or a banquet room frown down on a private strip party going on inside their establishment.
Good luck,

Re: Private Parties
I first ask if they have the dates availible for a party... The when I make an app to go look at the space...(I'm going tom.) The ones I've really been interested in I told them it was a Private adult Party they were like okay...i already have security. Flyers are going to be passed out through friends and at lingerie stores n othere such places.

Re: Private Parties
I know stripper agencies can take a 'chunk' of ones earnings in fees however I find that working through an agency at first is a good way to get to know the industry in your area without alot of the risks.
Establish yourself with one or two agencies, do shows... gradually establish your own agency... ???
Just a thought.

Re: Private Parties
I haven't found any... I've done parties before just not in Fl

Re: Private Parties
I would run an add in one of those small free papers. Or the Fl. today paper in the front if you wish too! I see many fly through these, they may help you build up a clientel. AS word of mouth travels fast if you're parties are very good.
I have done many private parties, and the only thing i was told
(aside from having sex etc) was to negotiate all funds over the phone, and except no tips during or after the party.

Re: Private Parties
Bring a bouncer.
Have a lawyer on retainer.
Be prepared to accept or decline offers of prostitution.

Re: Private Parties
There will be no prostitution at all... Not that I know anyone... but I've done enough to know that I could make good money without having to go there...
"pam" why can't I accept money during or after the party?? If theres no sex involved wheres the problem?? If you know something I don't please share...

Re: Private Parties
I believe i did alot more at my private shows than you may be doing, this is why i contacted an attorney for legal advice. I did masturbation shows, and if i accept money after a customer asking me to perform these 'acts' i could get in hot water, as i was told.

Re: Private Parties
Of course, one of the first visitors to your party, if it's open to the public, will be the fire marshal, making sure the hall isn't over-crowded. He'll be followd by a police officer who, if there's nudity and alcohol in evidence will probably close the party down.
