concerns about dancing close to home/school
Hi everyone. Just like to say I appreciate everyone's advice on this site, and I know this is a subjective thing, but I would welcome any and all opinions...
I go to University here in the city, and while it's not a small place (Ottawa, Ontario, pop. 800 000 -ish), the downtown core is limited enough that it is possible during the school year (I have had no problems during the summer) that I might run into some U of O familiars. I am not ashamed of dancing, but at the same time very few people I'm close to are aware of it, since it is regrettably much misunderstood. Not advertising it to my school friends is obviously just common sense. However, while folks from my very small philosophy department aren't the strip club types (mostly ahem 'bookish' fellows), and the club I work at is more of an older business crowd than some of the more student-friendly places (I picked it largely for this reason), I am a little worried that on the off chance a prof or classmate or TA might happen to see me.
So, it's a slight chance, but seeing that we Canadians are unfortunately excessively liberal at times with club mileage rules (I have a principle, not a price, though some other ladies and customers get a little fuzzy about what lines can be crossed around here), it makes stripper stigma a bit daunting were it to become an issue. I'm a confident girl, but I'd hate to have someone marking my paper think certain unfounded yet unpleasant thoughts about me. There are a few clubs an hour out in Cornwall, but I've heard some of them can be fronts for basically bordellos. Same with some of the outta the way Quebec clubs. So (sorry this is so long), is it worth it to drive out to Toronto on the weekends (6hours away), or are the odds of someone seeing me not as big a deal as I think? (or as it happens, so unlikely it doesn't matter much...I am also notably not easy to recognize...I have this mutable look that makes me seem like every other blond girl on earth sometimes, so it's possible that people could see me, even up close, and totally not recognize me- some girls I run into around town who I knew in high school can't recognize me even when I say hi)
Re: concerns about dancing close to home/school
ps- damn this along and annoying, sorry!!! but about montreal-
I know it's closer (2hrs), but I heard it's ten dollar nude lap dances where here (at my club anyway) it's twenty. Anyone know details about montreal dancing, or toronto? I know the competition can be fierce, but anything else?
