OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
My fave dancer loves to wear BIG platforms. The bigger the better... 8"+.
Anyway I was sitting with her one day noticing the huge vacant space on the side of her platform shoes and jokingly told her she should sell add space there.
You know go around to local pubs or places who wouldn't mind avertising in a SC and get them to sponsor her shoes. She could put stickers on her platforms!
So is this idea absolutely rediculous? Anyone ever try it? Anyone think they may like to try it out now?
I'd be interested in knowing your thoughts, so I can share with my fave dancer.
Thanks.

This idea has never gone through my head I'd have to say. What a silly thought though. I wonder if this would actually work? No, nobody would take a girl serious if she walked into Subway and asked if they would like to put a picture of Jared on her Platforms.
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
I should put my sales website on my shoes. Hmm...

Heh, you're prolly right. I wasn't really thinking of corporate sponsors.
Yet the more I think of the possibilities......
I mean the best candidates would be local establishments (pubs, auto service places, shops, etc.) And she knows several of those people as existing customers to the club.
With a PC, a Printer, a little graphic arts action, and we could certainly make the sticker for her shoe.
Is this completely crazy? Okay, it's late. I'm sure reality will set in in the morning. heh.
Hopefully this thread will at least be good for a chuckle. heh.

That is hysterical! I love it. It at least gave me a good joke to share with my customers!
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
I think if the dancer had their own website than it would work. Other than that it sounds pretty funny
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
I've thought of that before- could work!!
Lots of us around here put stickers on the bottoms of our shoes...I used to have the Canucks (hockey team) and have had various political messages....some have stickers for bands or whatnot...don't see why advertising wouldn't work too!

^^^^You'd have to put it on the bottom of my shoes...
that's the part you see the most :)
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
That's so crazy.......it just might work. LOL
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
I get the same bad vibes now about the led message badges.
You cant even watch a boxing match nowadays without someone having an ad painted on thier back.
If someone starts selling ad space on strippers,it may start out with the strippers themselves, but IT WILL end up as something owners profit MORE from in the end.
I fear the day when a club starts using the most viewed item in the room, the girls,as a club bullitin board.
From a marketing standpoint,its brilliant.
From a pride stance, its gonna suck to have the clubs beer prices and upcomming features written on a dancer.
Its going to SUCK,and I think history will trace its roots back to verfs idea.
We should just kill him now.;)

Ahhh... you think it will trace back to him, hmmmm??? ;)
I'm not sure about selling space on my shoes.... stickers on them seems like it could get tacky to me.
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
You'd think that with all the stuff they've stuck inside platforms (the blinking lights, the dollar bills, the rubber ducky in the blue "water"), this strangely enough might be plausible.
How about platform snowglobes?

I can hear the foot fetish customers now: "Honey, can you grind that Starbucks ad into my balls for $100?"
:O
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
maybe I should tape my business card to my shoes next time I dance but that might be dangerous...I could see all these freaks calling the place I work asking for me. Yeah. bad idea.
But I like the idea of Jarred from Subway on the shoes!!! :)

Well, hmmm.....it might work, although I doubt we'll be driving by the Bank of America Antioch Baptist Church anytime soon.
About a year ago, a couple appeared on the Today Show that had announced they were going to bid corporate naming rights on their newborn. I personally found the whole idea repulsive but wanted a second opinion, so I asked my daughters, Dairy Queen and Western Auto. They didn't like it either.
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
An easier way would be to advertise yourself on ebay. I looked up under "advertise on body" and there is a girl who is going for like 96$ last time I looked and she really isnt that cute at all! Check it out.
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
Sounds kinda tacky, unless its your own websiter or something. Is a customer really going to take an ad seriosly from a strippers shoe??
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
Do you realize how many guys look at the shoes a night though? I would think they would take it seriously.

Hmmm....maybe, if my hairline continues its retreat, I could sell ads on my forehead.
Re: OK silly idea...Anyone ever try to sell add space on their platforms?
Well, we couild advertise this site... but then all my secrets would be revealed to customers that read my shoes... hmmmmm...
I always got a kick out of the girls that walked around with cup or jugs to collect money for this charity or that. Usually a dancer in trouble or a child they know of. I don't know how that would work on shoes.
No one seems to look at my shoes unless they are gauging my height and see the 8inchers on my feet. MAybe I could say, "look closer."
