Don't Stand so Close to me- The Cars
Domino-KISS
Goody Too Shoes-- Adam Ant
Girls School- Britany Fox
"Don't Stand So Close To Me" is The Police, Senor Batman. Come on, now.
Schools out~ is that Alice Cooper? Sorry I'm too young to remember when it came out!!!
Yup, "School's Out" is Alice Cooper. There was a remake on The Faculty soundtrack wasn't there? No, wait, that was "I'm 18". Damn, I suppose I could just google it. Anyway, there's also "Teacher, Teacher" by .38 Special. There was a pop-punky song out fairly recently called "What I Go To School For" and it was about being in love with a teacher, but I never tried it because he sings a line about her being "really hot for 39" or something, didnt seem to fit. I've used a few others I know, with features and such, but my brain isn't functioning terribly well at the moment.
"Teacher Teach Me" by Rockpile on Just Can't Get Enough of the Eighties Volume 13 by Rhino Records
More school-girl than teacher but "Cryin'" by Aerosmith - Liv Tyler and Aliciia Silverstone skipping catholic school to play at the strip club. Same with "Popular" by Nadasurf, very schoolgirly.
Then there's, "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkel; always had a thing at 13 for that 30-something hottie teaching ;) Otherwise, yeah, secretary dominantly nerdy thing is tough!
Just don't play Britney fucking Spears!!
I know we are all sick and tired to death of it, but "Hot for Teacher" still drives the crowd crazy 20 years later, ESP with a schoolgirl/teacher double show.
Thanks everyone! I couldn't find a few of the songs on the lyrics search engine though....I'll take my list in and see if we have them on the computer. Always seems when I get suggestions from this group, we don't have the damn songs at work. UGH!
It doesn't have anything to do with those professions but for some reason the Lay Lady Lay cover by Ministry comes to mind...
