Re: Canada is such a great place to live
is this the same Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) that recently sanctioned the CBC to stop using the word Terrorist in their news reports, in favor of 'insurgent' or 'militant' or 'extremist' ?
Re: Canada is such a great place to live
If you think that's wack, I think my ISP here in Canada was using the proxy server to keep me off Stripperweb, tho they would not admit it.
I miss bell south.
But Canada's still a pretty cool place. Hopefully soon it will be legal to marry my dog, I love her so much.

Seriously, it would appear that where future terrorist attacks in the USA are concerned, we actually have more to worry about at the Canadian border than we do at the Mexican border ! Of course, most Canadians are probably unaware of the tacit support (or perhaps ostrich-like neglect is more accurate) that their government was at one time providing to Islamic 'insurgents' in Canada.
(snip)"The Liberals, who were severely criticized for allowing Hezbollah to operate in Canada, had been refusing to proscribe the Islamic terrorist organization because it is a legitimate political party in Lebanon with a social wing that works among the Lebanese poor. The Liberals' obstinacy regarding Hezbollah continued despite evidence it had been very busy in their country the last ten years, raising money, seeking recruits and buying materials to be used in the struggle against Israel.
However, Hassan Nasrallah, a Hezbollah leader, finally spoiled the party for 'the Party of God' in Canada. In a speech last month, Nasrallah said the Palestinians should export their suicide bombings outside of Palestine, and they shouldn't be shy about it.
This expression of support for terrorism was too much, even for the Liberals, whose leader, Chrétien, had the audacity to say after 9/11 that there were no terrorist groups operating in Canada, and who may even have shaken Nasrallah's hand at a Francophone conference in Lebanon last year. Nasrallah's frightening utterances finally did the trick and got Hezbollah the long overdue boot from America's northern neighbor.."(snip)

Tho I don't think that the CBC example is the best for showing why Canada is a liability to America, I agree with you in principle.
Sometimes it's just crazy up here, the 'inclusivity' and 'multiculturalism' culture of Canada... Canadian passports are like cell phones; now anybody can have one!
It's only a matter of time until some serious shit goes down in Canada, probabally Toronto or Ottawa.
I just try to keep my mouth shut and respect their way of life... my mum was Canadian and so I can't knock it too much. I just look forward to my visits back home where things make more sense to me. Especially because I'm origonally from a rural part of the midwest it was very overwhelming when I first came to Canada.
The truly maddening part is that when I drive back home my car has the Canadian plates and so I get so many 'Blame Canada' remarks wherever I go. Sheesh. But when I had my american flag stickere on the back I kept getting vandalized so I had to take it off. :(
