How to Accept Payments from Australia
O.K. so this is the first time i sell something on ebay, i specifically said u.s. only but since its my first time i overlooked the winner being from australia well he dosen;t have paypal and he dosen't have a credit card to get an account with paypal. How else could he pay me? or should i just forget it and relist and pay more attention next time.
Re: How to Accept Payments from Australia
Unless he can do a International Bank Draft or Money Order... and you are willing to wait the extra time to receive it (can take up to 14 business days for mail to go Australia - US)..... forget it... tell the guy that he should read the listing carefully next time as you are only selling to US residents not international.
I'm Australian and sell internationally if they have PayPal (when listing on ebay). I also buy internationally via PayPal or Visa (debit card).
OTOH, you should have the option (as I do via ebay.com.au) to be able to approach your other bidders with a second chance to buy the item ? So you don't have to re-list (as that can be costly) :)
Re: How to Accept Payments from Australia
So i can accept a money order from him? I won't have a problem cashing it in the u.s.?
Re: How to Accept Payments from Australia
Thats what I would do.^ Unless his willing send a Western Union money order drawn on US currency and send it priority. I sold something to a person in Australia a while back and thats what they did. I think I received paymnt in less than 2 weeks, if that.
