NY Times headed back to court - falsely accuse today, retract 5 years from now ?
Yet another case of the NY Times attempting to assert facts not in evidence, to make (false) accusations, and in doing so damage a person's reputation and career, in order to advance a particular editorial/political position on a sensitive issue.
While I give the Doctor a great deal of credit for having the perseverence (and the financial resources) to attempt to officially clear his name, by the time the wheels of justice finish turning and any retraction is finally made the original political issue will have been long forgotten.

I can't remember now-wasn't there some guy falsely accused of bombing the Olympics in Atlanta who won his case? I vaguely remember something about this, but don't remember the actual resolution of the case. This case sound like a similar situation to me.

::)
But apparently in many rightwingers, conservative and or republicans view - it is perfectly vaild when a conservative leaning publication like say The National Review or Drudge, writes an article that includes (false) accusations and in doing so damages a person's reputation and career, in order to advance a particular editorial/political position on a sensitive issue.

For some reason I don't see a backlog of litigation against Drudge or National Review. This would tend to indicate that either a. liberals are a very forgiving type and don't mind when lies are told about them, or b. that Drudge and National Review aren't lying. Considering the amount of trial lawyers who comprise the #1 donor group to the democratic party, the odds would appear to favor b. over a.

So now you are claiming the conservative publications have never printed a mistake or incorect statement and never printed a single untruth , ever eh ?
Oh please, give us a break. Maybe it's come time to lay off the bleach ?
And my goodness... remove your head from Bush's rectum ! Seriously, I have to wonder how can you breath with all the excretment that must be packed up your nasal cavity. It isn't smart to cont to cut off oxygen to the brain for that long, ya know. Alas, I am afraid it might be too late. It appears the damage has already been done ;)

All I said was that there wasn't any backlog of liberals attempting to sue Drudge or National Review for publishing false information.
Also, please let's dispense with the nasal cavity searches. It's distinctly possible that evidence recovered from your nose might result in felony charges !

Felony charge ? Excuse me >:(
Just what the fuck are you implying there Ms. Moderator ? ( wow what a great example for this website- a mod who freely practices discrimination and makes public statements accusing a perfect stranger, whom she has never even laid eyes on, of felony drug use.)
FYI, I don't even smoke cigarettes. It is a self respect thing. Try it sometime, it just might appeal to you :)

Hey I never said anything about drugs ! All I did was make a New York Times-like statement on the subject of noses (which you raised in reference to SPECIFIC alleged contents of my nose), a statement very much like New York Times statements which you were just defending their right to make !
As to my status as moderator of Dollar Den, in Political Poo I'm just one more person with an opinion to offer.
