competing against "dirty girls"
Our club is very slow lately and the guys that do buy seem to just mostly go with the girls who offer extras. There have been very few customers lately, and even fewer buying anything. I made decent $$ there until a few months ago, but the last few weeks esp. - Jack. Most of my "regulars" aren't coming in much anymore, and a couple have been lost to girls who do more. Last night I got only two dances, both from ladies. The guys smile, stare, wave me over to say hi, even tip a bit on stage, but no one's buying. I've tried all the methods I can think of, plus a few tips from here (which got me my 2 dances last night). Our lapdances are pretty much [email protected] grinding lap dances, no touching allowed by customers (although this is a primarily ignored rule - by the customers, anyway). I give a good lap dance, & don't really mind if they are touching my leg or something like that, but otherwise don't care to get groped or give extras. How do I compete? One girl is selling the $90 bed dances for $50 - that gives her a profit of $20 for three songs. I'm not willing to go that far esp since that is making things harder for everyone else. Please help!! This slump is lasting too long and all the clubs I've looked at nearby are just as slow!

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
Although it may not be the answer you're looking for... Give it time.
Most industries are in a slump right now and everyone is worried about money. I can't even tell you how many other business owners I have spoken with are complaining about poor revenues at the moment. It will pass and the money will, more than likely, come back.
In the mean time, you might want to look for a secondary job where you can make enough steady money on a paycheck to cover your expenses for the moment. It's only temporary.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
any club slow down suring the summer. Crusty's have golfing, family outings, and vacations to make them happy.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
jesus, you're competing with stupid girls who incidentally happen to be dirty. all you can do is strut like you are queen of the universe and charge accordingly. you have to work the 'i am the superior merchandise, not the discount brand' angle as hard as you possibly can. i don't see how else you could pull money out of customers otherwise. well, maybe advanced bait and switch 101, heh.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
I was having a lot of trouble getting dances since I don't grind and a lot of other girls do. The club I work at is supposed to be six inches but no one really follows that rule including myself (still don't grind though). My nieghbor started working with me and all the other girls were mad becuase she was getting dances but wasn't doing anything wrong. She told me her secret extreme eye contact. And as gross as it sounds some heavy breathing in their ear helps a lot. Granted it doesn't work for every customer. But remember we are exotic dancers not "strippers". The art of seduction is a profitable one. Stare them down like they are your pray don't let them know you really think they are nasty. Most girls already know this. You don't have to touch if you seduce them with body language. Just think your boyfriend who begs you to mastubate for them. Same principle (just without masturbating yourself) Hope that Icould help someone my neighbor helped me just passing the news on.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
screw them go to a nicer club dirty girls are whores and givet he rest of us a bad name

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
My perspective as a customer is that Bella Babe is on target. I mean, look, I'm a man, I like to have my cock rubbed, but more important is that the dancer is really paying attention to me, my reactions to how she's dancing, and so on, rather than just going through the motions...

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
This may be an exception to the rule, but at my club it seems like the dirtier girls make less money and/or get less dances. Some guys want clean dances and don't like grinding or contact as much as they want an air dance.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
the world is going down..ouch
its in everyclub girl.I remmeber 2 years ago it was starting in my club now its like that

I really don't like the kind of dance where its just grinding for the whole song... would be disinclined to get a second. It makes me think she thinks i'm a disgusting pervert that is actually on the couch trying to orgasm. I gave up my grinding / dryhumping days long ago when I gave up my virginity. I have no intention of going back. Stick with the artsy dances that require TALENT. If you're not doing this, learn to do it, and the money should start flowing from the new regulars you'll attract.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
Hun, I have the SAME problem as you do. I decided to take on another job because money is very slow everywhere. just wait it out. Since $ sucks everywhere, why not learn something new else where. ya know? - I agree with Archangel

^I wish there were more men like you!!^ *MUAH*
I have worked in this environment and I was the only girl who wore a long sexy dress, light make up and held intelligent flirty conversation. I did very well, many of the older guys liked me and the married guys especially! Find a sexy creative way to stand out from the rest.
Another thing that works is to act stupid (not fun but makes $) I would take them for a dance and let them "imagine what ever they wanted until they realized it wasn’t what they wanted. Sure, they were disappointed but I made $20-$40 at a time equaling to a couple hundred by the end of the night.
Ultimately however, you should change clubs as I did. I'm much happier now!!
Good luck,

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
So, I like a good grind now and then, but I have to admit my favorite dancer right now does not grind at all. However, she is totally full of energy, always up, fiesty, flirty, extreme eye contact, blows in my ear, massages my head and neck, runs her fingers through my hair, doesn't take no for an answer and interacts with me when she's with 3 feet of me a the club. I'm not a bug spender by any means, but she gets at least 120 bucks from me every visit. Call me a sucker if you like, but she floats my boat like no other. Oh yeah, she's tall, redhead, thighhigh boots, and suit jacket, so she really makes a visual impression against the other girlie girls.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
Yeah,I know what you mean about $$ problems. You get young girls who think you have to go all out for a cheap thrill.YUK!The best way to hussle is pick them out while on stage by alot of eye contact ,then while walking down make sure to say something to them.Once you do get the dance smile, gaze into eyes, giggle, make sure to touch his face and neck.No further though. Also a good thing is hair up,then let it drop down.Or if your club allows wear a mans xl dress shirt, tie, and glasses.Great tease for $$ men.Hope things work out for you.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
Since you are too good to compete for sleeziness, compete on the level of class.
" you have to work the 'i am the superior merchandise, not the discount brand' angle as hard as you possibly can."
Truer words were never spoken.
SOme more advice:
Do the eye-contact. Guys love it.
Since you are not going to be slutty, be sensuous. It is a diferent angle and will attract a differet type of guy than the youg slut pupies are getting. The gropy young bloods and dirty old men don't usua;y have much $$ anyway. You want to go for the 30-60 year old educated guy who obviously appreciates the finer things in life.
Wear MORE clothes than everybody else. Long sexy gowns, slacks outfits, and retro looking movie-star dresses all work for me. (remembher the famous picture of Maralyn Monroe over the subway grating, with the white halter dress? I have a knock off of tht dress!) Guys will wonder what you have in there. (Sounds counter-intiutive, but it's true!)
Develop a talent you can charge for, or hopefully get tips for (mine is backrubs). IF you can make your talent into a sales pitch at the same time, you will rock, because you can actaully arrange to get tips for your sales pitch.
Carry your money is a small purse. it looks classier and that way you are not advertising that you have not made anything yet. (Another variation on the "keep 'em guesing" game).
Since you are obviously the smartest, classiest, and best-dressed girl in the club, you must also be somebody special, not jsut one of the other dancers. Start acting like you OWN the club, and you will.
We have lots of threads on this. I started one called "competing with extras girls" or something like that. It also has a lot of good advice.
Also, take the Dancer Wealth seminar. He will give you tons of info how to increase your earnings without resorting to a life of crime.

This is totally an exception to the rule. Guys want what they want, and we all know what that is. I've gotten an "air dance" exactly one time. I've never been back to that club. Contact is always better than no contact, if you care about making money, that is.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
NO! OMG stop being a jerk dude. You've made 2 whole posts and both of them are telling girls how if we want to make money we've got to let assholes like you molest us. UGH!
Not every guy feels the need to molest strippers for money, jerkwad. In fact, where I work, most DON'T. And before you post anymore stupidity about not making money, I'm one of the best moneymakers where I work. So just stop it already.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
Okay... if you aren't okay with moving to another club or even travelling to make money then you could possiblely do some extra "on the side" work to help with the dollars you aren't earning in the club. I'm not talking anything sinister.
You could take up doing lingere/topless waitressing by registering yourself with the good agencies in your town. If you able/want to do so, also tell them you can do shows. It is especially helpful if you have a car as they will be more inclined to give you more bookings.
Just tell them that you work in a club and get them to work around your schedule by keeping them informed about when you are available .... and keep reminding them for what you are available for as well.
You could also model in your off time.. develop a portfolio... then seek some modelling work. It may not come often however it is another way to help you expand your income base.
If taking on more work is not your cup of tea, then work on yourself... make yourself stand out from those 'dirty girls'. Make yourself the ferrari. Dress and act like it. Tell them to come to you if they want quality. Dress sexy not slutty. Have the best sales skills (take the DW course if need be).
If taking on more work (modelling, lingere/topless waitressing, shows) and/or working on yourself is not working then suck it up and change clubs.... you will be better for it.
Or even just go away for a bit... work in another club in another place for a couple of nights as the saying "A change is as good as a holiday" is sooooo true.
There are ALWAYS options. Be open and courageous enough to explore them. ;D

Ditto. I am one of the top earners in my club, too, and nobody messes with me. Go play on the blue side and leave us alone.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
I am encountering a similar problem with the afternoon girls at my club. One day i decided to "undersell" to see if it worked. NOPE! It is not worth it, don't even bother.

Had a similar problem/situation at my previous place of employment.
Relocated and that solved the problem for a while but here it comes again.
Appears to be a general trend in this country, and I hope things will pick up some.
However, from what you tell me, I wonder how the girls who cut, undersell their offerings make the stage fees and club fees. I can't undercut, if I do, I would be cutting my throat, not to mention gettin myself into whole heap of trouble at the club.
Due to the current slump, I don't work as many nights as I used to.
I got me a part time job in the days, and work two nights a week at a retail store as a clerk. Both jobs don't even compare with what I used to make, but heck, it beats running around the club bleeding my self to death financially.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
Not only do girls that want to participate in what would be called erotic entertainment.. lap dances, company from a pretty girl, etc.. have to compete with chicks that think it's okay to provide extras .. there's the drug sales that one has to put up with. here recently and I wont mention any places - as those who know what I'm talking about, someone got caught doing that very thing.
And then everyone wonders why they cant make any money... duh?

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
Some people on this board make me want to barf- on them. ::rollseyes::
I would try to take up another job but not quit completely at your club. Just take less days there and make your time more useful somewhere else. Bartending, waitressing, or modeling (for car shows n stuff, promotions) I dunno if thats what you like just throwing stuff out there. That way maybe that youre not at another club your mind is a little more at ease not thinking about money making and hustling constantly.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
stripclubgoer- i have an interesting thing to pose here. if you get off sexually assaulting a woman you dont know, i'd really hate to see the harm you'd put your wife/gf through.

Re: competing against "dirty girls"
Against people who are offeing sex for sale, you don't have a direct weapon.
You are selling entertainment, they are selling entertainment and sex, or sometimes, just sex.
This also depends on the customers also, some go for entertainment, some go for sex.
Lately, the ratio has been, IMHO, in favor of those customers who go for sex.
Those customers who want sex will not want girls who offer entertainment only and will head directly towards those that offer it.
So, what to do? Do you just say that "you can't beat them, might as well join them"?
No, not exactly. Custies looking for sex are usually not looking to go directly into "it". They are going to want to do lap dances first just to get warmed up. And this is the part where you can profit by selling them a lot of dances, two to three dances per sex oriented customer.
If they mention VIP room, they will often ask for favors.
At this point, you can either drop him, or smile, say nothing and just lead him on.
Eventually, he will find out that you are doing any favors, and then he will then drop you and call it an evening, or find another gal.
