Against people who are offeing sex for sale, you don't have a direct weapon.
You are selling entertainment, they are selling entertainment and sex, or sometimes, just sex.
This also depends on the customers also, some go for entertainment, some go for sex.
Lately, the ratio has been, IMHO, in favor of those customers who go for sex.
Again this points to a schism taking place in the industry between 'show clubs' and 'sleaze clubs'. Customers who are content with light contact entertainment are also usually guys who have personal reasons to NOT want to be involved in a club environment that is at risk of being busted (i.e. business reputation, middle class wife and family). Therefore, as the 'sleaze factor' in a particular club starts to increase significantly, often customers who prefer light contact start frequenting different clubs. This of course has the 'trickle down' effect of reducing the club's remaining customer base that is willing to spend money on private dances without expectations of high contact/'extras", and with it the earnings potential of dancers who do not offer high contact/"extras".
Eventually this schism will result in all customers who prefer low contact and a bust-proof environment migrating to upscale 'show clubs', leaving any low contact dancers still working in high contact clubs without an adequate source of income. These dancers are then forced to face a three way dilemma ... start offering 'extras' like the other girls in the club, attempt to move to an upscale 'show club' (if she can meet the hiring criteria), or look to a 'straight job' to make ends meet.
Re: competing against "dirty girls"
The clubs regardless of scale will have to get the dancers from someplace.
Not all girls start at the upper end of the scale. Most get their start like me at the lower end.
Now, if nearly all girls are giving extras at the lower end, the same practice will eventually move up to the up scale clubs. And you cannot fault the girls. They are only practicing, to them, what they know.
And eventually, all clubs will become one big sleaze ball, with no difference between the upscale and the low scale except in just style, fashion, and flashing colors.
Legal consequences of this are that, there would be the possibility of increased restriction, or some relaxation of the current strip club requirements.
Probably, increased restriciton.
Re: competing against "dirty girls"
We need more spearmint rhinos and less dans emporium of skin type places. That would cut down on a lot of bs and increase our revenues as well as the clubs.
leave the girls that have to do extras to make a living at the truckstop style 'clubs" and dives and bring the spenders to the elite clubs.

Total disagreement with this argument ! Upscale corporate clubs will never officially condone 'extras', because doing so and being conspicuously busted for it would put their whole corporate structure at risk. Similarly, corporate clubs rely on maintaining at least a veneer of legality/respectability in their dealings with local gov't's , Wall St. investors etc. Just like Playboy magazine versus 'sleaze' publications, upscale corporate clubs will not only have no problems in attracting all the new 'girl next door' talent they need, but will actively reject dancers with too much 'sleaze' in their dancing history.
In fairness, this is not to say that there isn't a 'sleaze' element in the upscale show clubs. However that element is not apparent, and will never be allowed to become apparent, to a 'casual observer' entering an upscale show club. Generally, if 'extras' are taking place with 'show club' dancers, they are taking place outside the club premisis and after the club has closed - and without putting the club, other dancers, or other club customers at risk.

IMHO this is exactly what is happening as the schism progresses.

I'm confused. I thought the prevailing theme of this thread was anti-extras. But some of the most flesh offered to my idle hands and casual groping of me by the dancer has been at a spearmint rhino.
