$500 has always been a good night for me. Of course it depends on the conditions you are working in too. Some nights the earnings potential in a club is greater than others.
I'd say yes, it took me several months to break that mark. :)
It also is very relative. $500 a night in some clubs in Vegas is considered average. In Manhattan, it's below average. In Sioux City, it's outstanding.
When I broke $500 I threw my money on my bed and rolled around in it. $500 is an average-high for me now, though.
When I first started $500 was hard to reach and meant a lot. Now if I dont make at least $500 I get irritated... doesnt matter where I dance...
I would be thrilled if I could average that. That's a lot of money to me, but then again, I think most people consider me a 3 or 4 out of 10, so I'm on the extremely low end of the earnings scale. Like DW said, it depends on where you are.
^^ Im with you exotica. If I averaged $500 a night her Id bet set. But, the average here is much lower.
On my first night (just started) I asked one dancer objectively what she considered a 'good night'. She said $500, but she said 'years ago' that wouldn't be nearly as much to her. I don't know if she meant the business was down or she herself became different (but she's one of the best dancers I've seen and fairly pretty, so I doubt it). I've worked all of three nights and made $420 in about four hours on the second night and $380 last night, but I think I'm new right now so I get more attention. I've made big ol' nothing on stage, but hardly anyone ever does that I've noticed. A lot of girls are very very impressive too, but tipping just isn't popular here. Also, our stage fees are only $25 (if you're there on time), which says something.
For Detroit, then yea I would assume so yes.Quote:

But either way,if working 4 nights a week,with a 500 average,thats about 100,000K a year and not to shabby in any market.
If you made 500$ a NIGHT in my club youd be doing extras
Unless you work in an extras club, that doesn't seem right.Quote:

The reality nowadays is that in the majority of clubs across the country MOST girls DO NOT AVERAGE anywhere near $500 a night. Girls that average that much AFTER tip outs are in the top 20% of dancers nationwide.
the first time I ever danced, was a day shift and i pulled $480. Night shifts are way better in my area, so having a 500 goal is good. But lately, its been hit or miss. This year, the money has really seemed to drop in my area, so.. I dont even go into work w/ a goal lately! It totally blows! The money is SO BAD compared to just a few monthes ago.. now thats scarey!! uh................................ will it EVER be the same again?? $$$$$$$$$$$
5 years in this... ups and downs... slow times - Summer, Tax Season, Holidays... it never changes... it'll pick up in the fall...
In the clubs I work in the Northwest (not Washington Sate) I average about $350 a shift. I can't qualify why I earn more on some nights and less on others, and some clubs I work longer shifts to reach my average, and others I can get $100 and hour easily.
About 2-3 times a year I will earn $1000 + but that is definately the exception, and usually a fluke. Like I get three bachelor parties in one night (outcall) or I just can't stay out of the VIP on one particular night.
Okay, at what clubs are DJ's earning this kind of money? $500 on a BAD night? $100,000 a year? That's not shabby--that's really good money. I know I'm in San Diego the worst city for this business, but f**k, I didn't know it was this much greener on the other side. I mean, all the girls I have seen who make lots of money go out with the customers or have thousands upon thousands of dollars invested in plastic surgery.Quote:

Girls say the summer is slow and fall will be better. That is more wishful thinking. Of course seasonality of this business varies by location, but when are busy times???
Summer is slow you say, then others say September is slow because school just started and people are recouperating from vacation. Then Thanksgiving and December is slow. January is slow because people are broke from Christmas. Then Valentines is slow, and people are waiting for their tax refunds. Then once Easter hits and it gets slow, and low and behold the time near April 15th has some girls crying that tax time has times slow.
Then Memorial day weekend is slow and alas, it is summer again which starts the slow cycle all over again.
It is slow waaaay more than it is busy, isn't it?
So what does that tell us?
Guys can go to clubs 12 months of the year. Unless there is a major storm, most cities have enouh of a population to keep clubs busy, don't they? That does not count guys passing through town. Lots of guys don't know clubs exist as advertising is poor. Some areas clubs could advertise and don't, and other areas of course advertising is restricted.
So why don't guys go to the clubs in as high of numbers as they did in the past?
You can say it's the economy, but why can I go to places like PF Chang or The Cheesecake Factory and find them constantly busy in virtually every city?
Guys obviously are BORED with strip clubs, aren't they?
People have money to pay increasingly higher rates at motels around the country, and drive gas hog SUV's that cost $55-$60 to fill up.
THE MAJORITY OF DANCERS AVERAGE (COUNTING SLOW, AVERAGE AND GOOD NIGHTS) BETWEEN $150-$350 PER NIGHT.
ADD UP EVERYTHING MADE FROM JANUARY TO NOW,LESS TIP OUTS, AND I BET 8 OUT of 10 STRIPPER WEB DANCERS FALL IN THAT $150-$350 RANGE!
And there are plenty of girls out there in clubs suffering from enforced anti dance laws or not enough customers in relation to dancers, who may average in the $100-$150 range.
This is a declining industry, and the clubs with the highest income POTENTIAL, are the ones with the most unpredictable business and working conditions. The earnings peaks and valleys in the top clubs in major markets can be huge. And when a dancer hits a valley, that drops her AVERAGE earnings, doesn't it?

1000 wasnt unheard of,but for the most part,I would guess my average was around 7-9 a night a a dj.
100 girls tipping 5 bucks is 500
30 girls tipping 20 is 600
Yes you will always have girls that dont tip,but you also have the girls who tip more then the minimum.
Next to the owner and top entertainers comes the DJ when your talking about earning potential.

I think the problem is over saturation<sp>
80% of the females currently in the industry shouldnt be here, they dont rate.
This, and the fact that they do extras as a way to compensate thier shortcommings,is whats costing the real entertainers of this industry.
The bar and restaurant industry has peaks and pits, and strip clubs are no differentwe all have our "seasons".Quote:

Blaming anti lapdance laws isnt the answer.
Get the focus back on stage and run out the extras girls and the girls who dont want to get on stage and be dancers.
Its the only way to fix it.
Making the clubs more "fun" can help in the long run stop extras. Club owners are too desperate and that is the problem. They have to be more interested in HELPING their dancers make money, and enforcing no extras.
I have worked in clubs in the past where if the DJ saw money wasn't flowing they would have T shirt dances , buy a dance (or 2) and get a free drink, and if he saw a girl hadn't sold the special he would razz the guys until she did. Some clubs had meetings after work asking for suggestions.
In some clubs the veteran DJ's have it made. A DJ who gets a flat $10 off of each dancer, (not counting money paid to be skipped on stage, and extra money dancers give him to pump them up to the crowd), and with 70 dancers in a night he probably walks with $800 or so. Three or 4 nights a week like that is a mighty "comfortable" income. But lots of clubs may only have a quarter of the girls and the guys are making $100-$200 a night.
A lot could be done to keep the clubs lively and lower the guys sexual expectations, but the owners of clubs in a market where extras are readily available need to change things, and they obviously are afraid nthey will lose business.

Can't really blame the anti lapdance laws as there used to be tons of money to be had from stage and "dollar dances" (anyone remember the little boob/ ass shake and move on routine?) before the lapdance existed! Then again, back then you had to put $$$$ into your costumes, and a lot of effort and time into your show.
lol amen!!!!!!!Quote:
