Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
I was sitting with an awesome couple for pretty much my entire shift last night. They were so much fun and had TONS of money. We were having such a good time until one thing after another went wrong.."the wife" and I went over to a stage to tip a dancer that "the husband" liked. The dancer came over to use and lifted her T-Bar for the dollar. Playfully "the wife" said "I want you to work for it" the dancer turned and walked away!!!! How rude! "The wife" and I just looked at eachother totally speechless. These people were spending a shit load of money in our club they diserve a liitle better treatmenty than that! Next we had a new waitress come on to serve us who was working her first night. I don't think that this girl had ever even been in a strip bar. She was screwing up drinks left and right and on topr of that was running the couple credit card for EVERY order we put in!! We found this out because "the husband's" credit card company called him while we were sitting at the table to make sure his card wasn't stolen. Wait it gets worse........Another dancer took to the husband back to our club's table dance are. The guy who was getting a dance next to him had his dick out and was getting a hand job from the dancer he was with while the guy was fingering her!! NASTY!! The couple was so unimpressed by these event that they left cutting my money for the night short! Would any custies out there do the same thing? How patient are you before you leave?

It pays to be careful with ones credit card. Hopefully, a lesson learned for the couple. I dont blame you for being irritated if the ineptitude of the other club employees cut into your money.
You didnt mention if the "extras" activities your customer witnessed is SOP at your club. If so, then your job is to divert prospects from seeing those things if you believe they will impact your earnings and you arent interested in duplicating those activities. If its not SOP, then report it to management, I guess.

PS: this thread has a Blue flavor to it but it can stand for now

Those "extras" are not allowed ot my club and that was actually fired about ten minutes after it happened.

Sounds like the firing solved the immediate problem other than the waitress issue. If you got their addy, send them an email suggesting a return visit.

My hubby and I are not much more patient - but it sounds like it was a rough nite. Last time we went out, we had to leave early because one of the dancers was so drunk she wouldn't get off me. I moved her hands from under my shirt several times and tried to ignore her, but she was too far gone. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't usually don't mind the attention of a dancer. I love it, but she was sloppy and wouldn't go away.

A good reason why private rooms are the way to go in a club. I do not want to see dick in a strip club, however, I do like to play if the girl is willing, but why offend people.

I gotta say, that phrase is just a pet peeve for a lot of dancers. I might've cut "the wife" a little slack because she's a chick and probably hasn't spent enough time in clubs to have learned that bit of etiquette. But still, it would've bugged me.
(Note: Good SC etiquette = do not utter that phrase! The dancer is working for it! It's like if you ordered a latte and then refused to pay the 'barista' unless he 'worked for it.' wtf? The starbucks drone is making your latte. The dancer is shaking her ass. Unless she's just laying on the stage doing absolutely nothing, it's very offensive to suggest that she isn't earning your dollar--which, incidentally, will only buy her about a quarter of Starbucks venti latte.)
I understand your feelings about the incident, but think about it from the perspective of the other dancer. You were making a lot of money off this couple--but to her, it was just a dollar from a customer who uttered a hated phrase.

Re: Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
^Now, if it's a fifty, that's a lil different... you can ask me to work for that. ;)

Re: Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
^^^ I was going to write the same thing when I read this! What would SHE do for a dollar? I understand she wants the girl to dance for it, but the girl might have seen them watching her dance and thought she was entitled (hey, it happens) or she was going to dance after she had the tip in the thong. I've done that before just to get the money out of my way so the client moves his hand back to his lap and away form my body os I can dance without being "accientally" touched.
As for the rest of the night, I can understand the frustration. I've had a fewintersting ones myself..
At least you had fun with that couple while it lasted.

Shit I woudl've done the same thing. Either you're going to tip me, or you're not. I'm not going to "work" for a dam dollar. Either you are enjoying my stage show or you are.
Oh well, my club is no contact. Sheesh the customers have to lay the money on the stage, they aren't allowed to touch ;D

How rude indeed. I would never say something like that to a woman. Esspecially one sporting 7" platforms approximately at the height of my face. I'd like to get old before I lose my teeth.
Which prompts me to ask a couple of questions:
1. Why do some folks think that a tipping (essp. a mere dollar) entitles them to behave like an ass?
/:O
2. Why was this obviously dated thread mysteriously kicked up after five months with no activity?
>:(
Everyone, (and esspecially you newbies to the board), if you click on a thread in the "similar threads" box, it could very well be old so please read the stinking dates before you add to it. Some threads aren't worth kicking up.

Re: Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
I don't care if it was a woman, I don't care if they were spending a lot of money...I don't care if she was joking...Telling me to "work for it" is treating me like trash. I'm supposed to crawl around and beg? Please.
Be happy she wasn't slapped in the face.

Re: Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
Basically I wont visit a club where customers are allowed to show their private parts and where dancers touch their private parts and things like that.I think it would be disgusting.

Well I dont think this was nice to say,I think it is disrespectful to the dancer, but maybe the wife didnt know any better and didnt mean it that way.

Re: Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
One dollar bills shouldn't be allowed in SCs.

I dunno, doc...I didn't notice the date when I responded, but just cuz a thread is old doesn't mean that it's worthless.....imho. (In fact, I think the "work for it" pet peeve is worth bringing up...we could be schooling some folks who heretofore didn't know any better....right?)

If you do that, you might as well rip out the stages.

Re: Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
In Japan the smallest denomination of "folding money" is a 1000 yen note, worth around US$8-10 at typical exchange rates of recent years. You do see guys tipping such bills, but it is considerably rarer than guys tipping one dollar bills in the US. I don't know whether the dancers come out ahead or behind overall. And, to be fair, you ought to adjust for the overall price levels in Japan, which might make the 1000 yen note more like US$5 in buying power, very roughly.

I'm no millionaire but giving a dancer a $1 bill is just a slap in the face, plain and simple.

Well gee then, I must be slapping the gals in the face at my home club around 20-40 times per visit. Maybe next trip, I should protect their honor and invest that money towards a hamburger and the gas tank instead.
::)
Lest my eyesight is getting that bad, a review of this thread would recall the beef here wasn't the sum of the tip, but expecting maintenence far beyond what is reasonable for that sum. And last I checked the numerical scale, one was greater than zero. Giving that is slapping a gal in the face.
While a dollar may be a pitance for you folks along the coasts, dancers out here in the land of $5.15/hr wages are thankful to get every dead president they can. Even George tends to add up after awhile, or so the gals claim.

Re: Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
^ Perhaps a better way of saying this is that the minimum stage tip is $1. And a lot more is often expected. Well, a lot more is often appreciated. In the best of possible ways, of course. ;)
I'm entirely with CO on this one. I'd feel like a drooling idiot standing at stage with a $1 bill. I haven't tipped less than $20 at stage in years, but then I'm a bit of a freak, admittedly. Add into the mix that our club etiquette is to take a dancer or two with you to stage, and it can add up very quickly.
For the budget-minded -- an entirely respectable approach -- I think anything above a $1 bill works perfectly well. The idea is to show appreciation and admiration, and you need to go above the minimum to do that, it seems to me.

Re: Night from hell U gotta read this!!!!
This is why I love Toronto... stage tipping is not allowed with anything less then a $5 bill :)
