Yes and no. When I started learning, I did VERY pasic things, and used very simple programs. Picture here. Text there. Whamo. TO build something to actually do business with, or even just appear business-like, isnt TOO hard, but not the basic stuff. If you want to keep the non-photo graphics simple and such, you can make a basic work site with the most difficulty being in perhaps... a table or two... If you need help, lemme know. Drop me an email. Im an insomniac, I have little else to do at this time of night! LOL. I personally wouldnt trust a server that doesnt let you have access to the password(s) to your own site. Nuh uh! And always read the fine print carefully. I always avoid companies that want to own whatever you put on your site. No way! And one thing you might want to keep in mind if you ever choose to have a pay site.... a lot of photographers who allow you to use the images they take of you, dislike or disallow the use of them on a pay site. Unless you are paying the photographer to take them and give up the rights, or the camera is being worked by a pal, expect some flack if you have a pay site. A lot of camera jockeys want to make the money off of their skills, so they run from paysite gals.Quote:

check out http://www.katies-world.com. She just charges people for chat and buying pictures.
Just another example of stuff that is out there. I would launch a free site... ask anybody you know who has a site to link to you, find free index sites and submit your URL. Updated it as often as possible and hope for a lot of traffic.
Just poking around on that katies-world.com site reminded me why amateurs web designers should not do anything e-commerce related. Her page that takes credit card numbers is unsecured. The page where you enter the card number has a button that says Submit Secure Order, but without a certificate all the data on that page is being sent plain text. Very weak.
If anybody has any thoughts of having any kind of pay site, hire a pro.
