Most often posted threads at stripper web
"am I thin/pretty enough to strip?"
"does she really like me or is she just messing with my head for more money?"
"Why won't the customers buy what I want to sell?/Why won't the dancers sell what I want to buy?" (I'm lumping all the fantasy/reality, contact/no-contact, mileage threads together here)
What are some other popular threads? Which is the most common? which are you most sick of?
-
Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
I hate retarded threads that people start just to boost their post count.
a little off topic but still it bugs me.
-
Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
I've never understood why someone would want to 'boost their post count'... what's up with that? Do people really do that? Why? Do we get a prize when we reach a certain number or something?
-
Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
If anyone pays attention- there are a few "post boosters" on here....not mentioning any names...
I get sick of the "Do I look good enough to strip?" threads. I mean, if you have to ask...
-
Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
yes people do that, just look for someone starting a ton of posts.
-
Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
But WHY would someone want to? That's what I don't understand.
-
Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
well, when we all started, we wondered if we had what it took to dance. I know I did. Then you realize what dancers really look like and they are not all Playmates....and they have (gasp!) cellulite and stretch marks too.
I think someone's perspective on this will differ depending on which fora they read the most. Obviously customers will see a lot of customer-related threads. Those who like "fluff fora" will notice the post boosting stuff.
I read a lot of Body Business, so I read a lot about boobs. GOD, not another BOOB thread!! :D And I think every other thread in Dollar Den is an "oh shit! you mean I have to pay taxes on this?" type thing.

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
This is an easy one. My favorite thread format is:
"Hi girls! I'm an insecure and desperately needy fat chick who has no business whatsoever being on a stage stripping and I represent everything that is wrong with the total lack of quality control in the industry as it pertains to talent selection from greedy, myopic and fiscally incompetent club managers, but my self-respect and image are so far down in the stagnant cesspool that is my life that I want to get as much validation as possible from those who are too afraid and too PC to offend me with the obvious reality of the situation because continuing to entertain my own delusions is the best way to realize my potential--and because I'm fine and you're fine, right? Right?
Please follow this post with lots of accolades about my loving my body in all its wonderous corpulence and portliness; remind me of how there are some guys that really do like bloated cows on stage (sidebar: naturally not to be confused with our favorite MooCowMistress, Bridgette--if you only knew how I love you, B ;) ); shower me with reassurance and give me your own self-worth that I'm too pathetic to give to myself; and finally, reaffirm my misandry-laden neo-feminist position that our misogynistic patriarchal society has created impossibly high standards of beauty for women such that I should rebel against them by plowing a 1420-calorie Carl's Jr. burger into my face to assuage my self-induced guilt and body image problems.
OK, girls, you can begin your sycophancy now..."

I agree with both of these, wholeheartedly.
As for the post count boosters---There IS no special prize. Some do it for the stars.. Which I don't even understand. It's just a pixel star.

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
"Help me find a stage name" - Thank god those were finally ended.
"How can I hide all this money from the IRS?" - This one is sort of like emily's
Any post by our favorite pyschopathic stripper, who shall remain nameless. While her posts always featured a different news article, in fact, they were all the same.

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
Ouch Casual Observer... Thats kind of harsh in my opinion, but of course it's a free country. The few "bigger girls" I have seen post were asking for honest opinions and help....they sure didn't sound like what you say. I haven't been here for long but I haven't seen this yet. Everyone who posts/creates a thread here has a right to....even if it borders on being pointless.

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
how about the clothing ones for the newbs
"what kind of shoes do I need/How do I walk in them?"
"What do I wear"
"What should I bring?"
Just go to a strip club and watch, or for cripes sakes do a search on here...
-
Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
part of me thnks, if no one ever posted about these things, then there would be no way to search for them, lol-- what gets me is when theres more than one thread about ONE topic, on the same page... maybe the frequent threads should be stickied, the way Susan did with the "help me pick a name" threads?
-
Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
well I think it is a fallacy to believe that because something has been discussed a million times before, nothing new can be said about it... and no one is forcing us to read threads that annoy us, lol...

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
Look first I can say
Casual Observer: You're so Beautiful! OMG I WOULD BUY A V.I.P. From you! I love your........ummm.....EYES! GO FOR IT BABE, YOU'RE GORGIOUS.
And nevermind the 5 bucks you take home nightly after tip out, most people are just put off by how gorgious you are. WORK THAT POLE BABE.
And second,
When I made my first post about the assumption a dancer liked me, NO ONE, I MEAN NO....ONE... let me down easily.
I mean I am all for self-support and image building and all, and I'll even support it when its due. Like MsTopaz's religious posts, she's been here, when someone like her harps, we normally can tell its a compliment sandwich she's ordering.
I think its an even graver injustice to tell a potential dancer she's going to be awesome in a business that is already sucky enough financially during these summer months among veterans that may be hotter.
I'm not speaking of any one person in particular, hell if you where to ask me, I wouldn't even reference any one person. All I know is that I HINTED that MAYBE a dancer I bought dances from liked me, and I got ate ALIVE. And honestly, I needed to hear it.
I'm not editing what I said cause it rings true, but so does what emily said. This is the internet and people can give a unbiased opinion without fear of repricution and should seek it if it feels appropriate, if I'm not in the mood, I wont read it. I just know that if you try to make someone feel better by sugar coating it, you only set them up for more hurt, again a consequence the internet complimentor doesn't have to bear.
On a lighter note, we need more 'Am I a good Custy?' threads. EQUALLY AS BAD. But tends to heed humorous response. Not the 'You're so wonderful, I'd give you a lappy for free!' we expected when I started the thread....

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
Stage Names, political stuff that's beat into the ground, does he like me? threads..
but then again.. I vent about stupid stuff.. this place is my saving grace... literally.. especially now with hubby deployed and my juvenile work antics as of late.. I don't really think that any post is over done per se, unless its asking about a stage name (Pick one!) or Am I too fat to strip? (uh, if you are asking.. then perhaps you may want to reconsider)... I suppose that to some, posting about if they have the look, what it takes etc, just goes along with the "what ifs" as it would with any job... a bit of positive reinforcement.. but if you are four feet two and 310.. please stay off the stage! LOL
I get a good chuckle out of posts that are usually seen as a star earner.. not naming any names, but comparing genitalia with those who I should not be comparing with, or whether because I have stock in the duracell company means that there is something wrong with me.. but then again.. we're all ladies here (for the most part) and I think that sometimes we, as women tend to feel that unless we have someone to tell us differently, we need that extra boost of somesort to know that we are just like everyone else...
And whoa! I am so the fuck off topic... sorry guys!

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
OMG thank god Susan W closed those stage name threads!!! *thank you* Those got so old afterwhile eventhough I still replied to them.
Im with CO on his view....also to add youll know your "stripper material" not just in looks but stablity when you walk through the doors of the SC. It just takes times to cultivate a hustling strategy.
Alot of "my pussy stinks" - go to doctor, "I think Im in love" from RIL type dudes, "taxes?", "I want to be a stripper"....unless those are specific.
NOTE to PRYCE: Maybe you can make the search button in BOLD at every page where it is at? So new ones will get the hint. :D

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
Actually thought that my Waffle House post was nostalgic, and my gas over $2.40 post was ahead of the economic news curve this summer. My crusader post on Islamic Jihadists was probably too political for poo, but certainly got people reading the board.

Re: Most often posted threads at stripper web
