another "quoting prices" thread
i didnt want to threadjack the other girls post, but i had a similar question about how to sell my dances. the dances at my club (bikini) are 10 bucks per song. there's no other type of dance. the only differance is that the guy can pay a 5 dollar cover to go back to the V.I.P and then the dances are the same price. what i need to figure out is how to sell the idea of getting more than once dance when they ask about price. right now i pretty much just tell them "it's 10 per song" what else can i say with no real price range? i thought about maybe adding on something about how many dances is "up to you", but i can't think of a slick way to say it. i feel like the way i say it now disrupts the flow of things and makes it sound too businessy, if that makes sense.
Re: another "quoting prices" thread
Well, $10 is pretty cheap... maybe you can say something about how it's good that it's 'only' $10 because that way he can get enough dances to have time to really get into it...maybe sell two to get him amped up and then pitch the vip 'where we can really take some time to have fun'
can you talk to management and ask them to require a certain number of dances to go into the vip?
Re: another "quoting prices" thread
If the guys are asking the price that means that either a. Other girls are charging different dance amounts or b. they have never been to the club before and want to know what kind of prices they are looking at.
Don't answer the question directly, if at all possible. Take an interest in them and say something like "Are you new to town?" or "When was the last time you were in? I can show you how things are better now!"
The customer's answer will determine your answer. If he says that he usually gets dances from Lexis, and she usually charges $20 a song, you have your answer. Charge $20 just like the other dancer. If he is from out of town you can ask him what it is like in his city for pivate dances, and then price out the dances with what you are comfotable with. It is really hard to drive a price higher, but you can easily come down on price if that is what you need to do to make the sale.
ie; you would say to the customer "I usually charge $20 a song, but since it is your first time here, I would be willing to do 2 songs for $20 and then $20 for each song after that. Or if you want more privacy we can go back to VIP for $200 for half an hour and get to know each other better."(depending on your club this is roughly 6-8 songs)
I have met dancers that feel like if they charge more then the other girls that they are ripping off the customer somehow. Don't let your head get in the way of earning a good income. If you know you give a good dance and quote the price up front, then the customer can make a decision as to what he is willing to spend or not. Sometimes if you charge more, you will indeed get the guys that like paying more for better quality.
