work is really slow right now.
I just got back from vacation and went back to work and it managed to suck the life out of me.
so pretty much what I want to know is how do I not feel like this?
should I start doing yoga or meditating?
get a hobby?

Work less until you feel normal again.
Work on you stage preformance while it is slow, then when it picks up you will be ready
theres nothing wrong with my stage performance, i'm just feeling like work is taking too much out of me.
I meditate to regroup. Sometimes when I wake up, I fee like, "I just can't GO and DO this today." It's tough to keep that persona going all night, rejection after rejection, and to keep dancing and dancing. Try yoga or meditation not for the physical relaxation, but for the mental quiet you need. It's a great way to shut myself off for a while. My instructor used a great phrase and called meditation, "shrinking your world down to one breath."
Bring a good book to read in the dressing room.
Have a drink. One drink. Sit at the bar and think of fun stuff. Talk to the bartender.
Change your costume often or make some really silly ones you can get away with during slow shifts (milkmaid, dominatrix, kitten, etc.) Crazy idea but if it strikes the right customer's fancy, it could pay off.
That must be hard. I hated having to sit around in an empty bar.
My club is dead right now. I was having so much fun playing blackjack on my cell phone that I bought a little hand held blackjack game. I play that now when it's dead. Keeps me entertained!

Pick an argument with somebody. Anything to keep your mind from slipping or relapsing into the slumber. Sometimes you need a vacation from a vacation. But that's the way it is.
