Kiss of Death?
I pulled some of these replies from some other threads. In your opinion are some of these actions the Kiss of Death? As in nice ways of we dont want to hire you.
"Sounds like the run-around with the picture thing. Anywhere that says "reviewing app"
I would say is saying no, but in a nicer way... Keep trying - you'll find a club..."
"Everyplace I have been hired, I was hired on the spot. When they tell you to come back later, that is like the kiss of death. But keep after them. It does seem to be their usual MO."
"Anecdotal feel-good moment from last night:
When I walked in, the bouncer was a different guy from the first two nights. He gave me one look and said with what seemed like a tinge of disbelief "Are you applying???" I said yes. "Goddamn girl! You're hired!"
if only security could make such decisions
ha"
Yes Im a newbie and everytime I walk out and I am not hired I keep a positive outlook but then the next day I am analyzing everything.

Re: Kiss of Death?
I just ask (sorta demandingly) when can I start work? After some convo of them asking me if I worked at clubs before I ask/tell. Youre brown like me..not alot of brown girls dominating clubs so we are special in a good way.
I try not to leave until they give me a REAL answer of why they wont hire me right now. If they say weve got too many girls...I ask how many and how many girls work per shift. I dont like to leave unless I have an answer.

Re: Kiss of Death?
How many clubs have you applied / auditioned at?
I read on your other thread that at one place you were told they don't audition on Fridays and that you just left an application. I would've asked what days/times they DO audition and showed up then ready to go. They don't hire based on applications at strip clubs - they hire based on appearance, auditions, attitude. You could write that you fucked Mickey Mouse as work experience on those applications - it's bullshit. Heh, you might try that and see what they say :P
What area are you in and what club(s) are you trying to get into? Maybe someone here can shed some light on their hiring policies and such.

Re: Kiss of Death?
Im in Marietta which is 20 min from Atlanta. So these are Atlanta clubs. First was Cheetahs (you definitely need experience), second was Mardi Gras where in getting the run around, third is Masters where I auditioned and I gave the day manager my number. I called and then he put me through to the housemom who said they had too many girls but that one is bound to quit soon.
I dont think I was demanding enough. Thanx Tigers Milk

Re: Kiss of Death?
I was thinking Atlanta.
I can't imagine why, if you're ethnic, you'd have a problem getting hired in Atlanta for that reason. I also can't imagine why, if that's you in the avatar, you'd have a problem getting hired almost anywhere - unless they really want experience.
I'm hoping some Atlanta girls can give you more specific input. I would agree you probably need to be more demanding tho. Instead of agreeing to just leave an application, ask specifically when auditions are held and show up ready at the appropriate time. I'd also call ahead and ask for audition times, that way you don't have to risk making a wasted trip. And once you're there, be a bit persistent.
Also, PERHAPS they hesitate because you don't have your license? I know in Phoenix we're required to have a license and my club doesn't want to bother with girls who don't have their license yet. Just a thought. Maybe they're less receptive to you because you haven't yet taken that plunge, so to speak.

Re: Kiss of Death?
Ok, totally understand... Its just that I dont want a license and no one hires me... But Im sure if I get a license and next time I audition then that would give me more of an edge. I will apply for one early on Friday. Then go back out there. I originally thought that you had to get hired first before you bought a licence. But I will find out.

I JUST called a SC and they said you have to get hired first because there is a notary and a little bit of paperwork

Re: Kiss of Death?
Well then I dunno what else to tell ya. I think you need more specific info about clubs in your area, so hopefully some Atlanta girls will pipe in. Good luck, I'm sure you'll get hired somewhere.
