Switching Clubs
Hello Ladies! I work in Southern California and want to apply someplace new. I just don't know if I should tell the new club that I have previous dancing experience. All of the clubs are pretty much a within a few blocks of each other and I don't know if all the managers chat with one another. Do I need a new stage name? I do not enjoy being dishonest. Has anyone ever been in this situation? Also, I plan on moving out on my own in about a month or so, what the heck do I tell the landlord if they want to see a paystub? I've never applied for an apartment before (thankfully have great credit) and am unsure just how much I need to divulge. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Switching Clubs
I was in a certain situation and just got my apartment. If your club has a back number you can use that and tell the club to tell the apt. people that you are a manager and make such and msuch per month. Worked for me.
I also put everything thing I needed to move into my bank accounts to possible have to show proof of income in case word isnt enough. Dont tell them you are a dancer they might want to take advantage of you since youre 'rich'.
Ive changed clubs before and worked as 2 different names. If you wont be going too far sure use a different name but if you have regulars use the same name so they dont get confused when they see you at the new club.

Re: Switching Clubs
If all the clubs in your area are within a few blocks, your going to know alot of the people in the new club, custies and dnacers.

Re: Switching Clubs
Why lie ? Is it in either clubs contract with you that you must not work other clubs ? If not , then why should they care where you work as long as you are doing your job well in THEIR club.
If it isn't a contract issue then I would just be honest about your work history with the new club.
If it is a contract issue I would advise either picking one of the clubs to work in localy.
As for the new landlord or apartment complex. Most will take 6 mo to a years worth of bank statements to prove that you can pay the rent. They will be looking for regular deposits amounts and dates such as weekly/twice a month etc.
