Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
You can go here for the basics:
Buy the plain unscented candles in a jar. White if you have a good tan, pink or red if you're fair.
The trick is keeping the melted wax on the jar rim to cool a little before you drip it onto you. It won't hurt, but you can wince a little for the customer. Presentation is everything.
You can get the wax off with a plastic picnic knife or a pocket comb. It should be okay to let the customer help you clean up.
You can put a white or pink sheet under you to keep wax off the chair fabric and carpet.
Pricing depends on how much you like doing it. If you love it, charge $60 for the first song and $40 each for additional songs. If you're not that into it, save it for fetish guys and charge a lot more.
Hot candle wax is often part of bondage and dom/sub interaction, but it can be sexy cute fun as well. You really have two market niches to play here.
Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
Hi there
Our few of our girls do a candles act. My advice if you do a candles show is to use only plain white candles, colored candles burn hotter and can burn the skin. It may be different in the States though

Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
be very careful with the candles! first of all, candles aren't all made out of the same type of wax. you want pure parrafin. beeswax and soy wax can cause third degree burns. second of all, be careful with candle additives and coloring agents- alot of these are caustic chemicals that will cause blisters and/or allergic reactions. scented candles also tend to use caustic additives and higher melting point waxes. your best bet is to buy candles that are specifically made for pouring on your body. there are new massage candles out there whose wax melts into hot oil that you can smear all over yourself. you can get them at drugstore.com or goodvibrations.com.

Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
i buy plain white dollar store candles. coloured and bees wax and scented brun hotter so stay away from them. I start with pouring it on a nipple then across the top of my ass . to finish I pour it on my cookie and up my body and onto my tounge. the wax you frist pour will be hotter then the last because if your driping it right onto your body it dosen't have time to get that hot.
For lotion shows I buy an oil free scent free goats milk. get a sport like squezze bottle from the drug store or wal mart. they are with the tooth brush holders and soap holders ect. I put a little bit of lotion in then some water.
the thing with lotion is it looks like cum. play that up. pour some on an ass cheak but don't rub it in just let it drip. put some on a breast and after its driped a bit rub your hand through it and lick your finger.
Ice makes for good shows too.
Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
The girl I do parties with does a hot wax show. She does a lotion show first, using Walgreens cocoa butter lotion and then pours the candle wax on. She says that the loition keeps the wax from burining.
Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
1) Never use scented candles unless you are some extreme masochist.
2) White scented candles burn the hottest of all candles.
3) Emergency candles are your friend. I never use anything else (on myself). They dont burn too hot, the wax peels off easily, and you have a lot of color variety.
4) Do not take BDSM FAQs to heart unless they differentiate tips for those who just want to do a show and those who want to cause pain.
5) Waterproof tarps are the best for laying out beneath you. Some searching can find you a black one or some color that is a lil more sexy than those blue ones you see over boats and cars ;)
6) If you are coated on lotion, sweat, oil, slick anything the chance of the wax slipping right off is good. Also, the slim chance that the color from the candles will like your skin is a little less than slim.
7) I personally suggest printing out a form for any customers to sign if you want to pour any wax on them during your show. The club can ok it, the customer can say yes, but if you get it in writing that they understand that it MIGHT hurt, they cant sue you.
Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
Thanks very much guys.
Yeah, I'm not planning on putting any on the customers--Touching here is super minimal, so I'm just not going to deal with that. Just letting them have some fun watching me have some fun with myself, haha.
This has been a big help. Thanks again--I'll let ya all know how my first show goes.
Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
Not to get off the subject of wax, but a couple of the girls in the club I work for have done Ice Cream Shows and also Baby Oil Shows, which sounded like a lot of fun and also seemed safer...
Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
I used ice once in VIP. I got a cup of ice and let him rub it all over me while I danced for him; he really liked that. Then I stood over him and rubbed the ice all over my kitty and let it drip onto his face. It went great!
Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
I've known dancers to do hot wax shows with candles, the advice mentioned already is good; do avoid those scented ones!
I didn't see anyone go in to detail about lotion shows? I have dancers that use lotion during their "embarass the bachelor" part, applying scented lotion to the shirtless groom (who is lying on his back) and rubbing her body all over him. The same can be done with whipped cream, although I would close with the whipped cream or you'll smell of sour milk for the rest of the night.
Re: Hot Wax / Lotion Shows
I'd definitely save this for a champagne-room/30 min. minimum kind of scenario. The preparation and cleanup time you'd waste doing this kind of act by the song sounds kind of not worth the $60.
